Agreed, and it's even more than that. The style is entirely different. On BBC, which probably isn't even the best example because they do a lot of human interest stuff, it's something like 10 minutes of an straightforward anchor describing the latest news, then 20 minutes of analysis and interviews with people who are knowledgeable or invested in the at-issue story (on the ground journos, academics, a former ambassador to the country, whatever).
So much different that the Fox/CNN style of 2 minutes of news by a celebrity host then 10 minutes of input from random guests who are just trying to build their brand.
It's gross.
