The Taliban a-hole in this video doesn't understand the reasoning for hitting people with the butt of your rifle and not the barrel. This Talibaw will be able to shoot around corners pretty soon if he keeps that up.

Was thinking the same thing yesterday for all of this equipment. It all requires constant maintenance, more then people think. Humvee and Blackhawk is no Toyota pickup truck. Unless Biden somehow starts shipping the Taliban parts.

I'm quite sure there are depots with some amount of spare parts to support operations for a while. Not sure who is trained to do the maintenance but I'm sure some of the trained ASF that surrendered will become Taliban allies.

I would agree though the long term outlook is anything that needs maintenance will fall into disrepair and become unusable eventually.

Isn’t that where Saleh and Massoud are held up? Seems like the Taliban is trying to cut the head off their resistance snake

I just saw a video of US troops moving bodies inside the airport. I had been under the impression that most of the deaths reported had been at the staging areas outside the airport. This is the second time in as many days we have seen people die on the airport grounds. Yesterday it was UK troops dealing with the bodies.

I'm not posting the video.

Yes, but it is a large geographic area, and the resistance forces have taken multiple villages. The area they are in is not far, as the crow flies, from Bagram. The goal for the Taliban is probably to keep them from retaking Bagram.

You want to know how bad it is at the airport? Biden is bragging about the airport being secure? This is how bad it is at the airport right now:

According to a State Department official, 300 people asked to leave the airport and go back into Kabul because of “unsatisfactory conditions” at the airport

My God, that’s got to be next level bad if you want to submit yourself to the tender mercy of the Taliban again and strongly risk never leaving the country.

What did I say to you about bombing the palace. If they had done this when I first said it , then things could be different now…

This was the report from last year from the Treasury Department, and it is a publicly-released report. This wouldn't be an issue at all if Joe and his Administration hadn't made the decision to let the President go in front of the world and say definitively that Al-Qaeda is not active in Afghanistan at the current time and the Taliban is not supporting them. It also doesn't help that the Pentagon (I think) came out immediately after Joe's "address" the other day and contradicted him on the Al-Qaeda point.

If this was the state of affairs more than a year ago, and we've primarily been focused on withdrawal, how do you think that Taliban/Al-Qaeda connection has progressed?

I am pretty familiar with BH maintenance and hope they are reverse engineering “shitty” parts. That will take those birds of Talibs hands even quicker.

Interesting to note is the last sentence of the highlighted section, "Senior Haqqani Network figures have discussed forming a new joint unit of armed fighters in cooperation with and funded by al-Qaeda."

The Haqqani Network is now the group that is responsible for security of the airport and Kabul.
