Politalk is linking info that Isis has entered kabul and planning an attack.
Y'all I'm about to quadruple my anxiety meds if this would prove to be true.

Right now I’m embarrassed to be an American. We are the laughing stock of the whole world…..

Amen to that. Hopefully, it isn’t too late.

Well, considering overnight it went from Afghans on the streets of Kabul reporting it as rumor, to the Embassy/DoD/Pentagon verifying it, to the AP and other outlets reporting it, I'd say it is fairly legitimate info.

Mind you, we had this today:
AND THE PLAN WAS STILL ONLY "GET TO THE AIRPORT".
And it took a, presumably, legitimate terrorist threat by a group that is not even supposed to be in the fricking region according to this Administration to change that fricking plan!
For frick's sake.

Keep in mind that the State Department has admitted to having no fricking clue how many US citizens are in Kabul and Afghanistan as a whole. They have no idea how many of our citizens are in the capital city of a country that is an active war zone. Zero. Idea.
Does the state department know anything?
They dont seem to have an answer for almost anything down there right now.

Exactly this. I truly hope Taliban has them on a leash.
My point is that ISIS are trying to get more people killed on both sides.

A Twitter thread by a Brit vet who is fighting to get interpreters out of Kabul/Afghanistan:
quote:
1/ Asked today why I’m fighting so hard for the Afghan interpreters. Here’s why. ‘Z’ with Dave. They worked shoulder to shoulder in Sangin until the day ‘Z’stepped on an IED. Lost both legs. And an arm. That, folks, is why we have an obligation to them. LINK
quote:
2/ ‘Z’ wasn’t evacuated to a UK hospital. Not ‘British’ enough I guess. But a few amazing people fought to get him treatment in India. And when he was well enough they fought to get him a job in the British Enbassy Kabul.
quote:
3/ About six years later they eventually won the right for him to be evacuated in the UK. Awesome awesome awesome. He epitomises so many of the interpreters I and many other veterans are fighting for now. A good man, who sacrificed his future to support out troops.
quote:
4/ But Defence Secretary @BWallaceMP admitted a week ago that many would be abandoned. The evidence to date suggest that’s absolutely right. A week after the fall of Kabul most haven’t even been contacted by the MOD. Not one single message.
quote:
5/ Which is why I and many other veterans feel an obligation to support these men against a government that genuinely seems apathetic to their plight. Thank heavens for those journalists @DailyMailUK @thetimes who routinely hold to account this government for their handling.

That’s a sad read…….

The state department doesn't know because it is on the US citizen to register and then unregister.
These people we are having to rescue were there on their own free will.

They don't even have a starting point. When the number you give has a swing in the thousands. You don't know anything.

Da frick? The whole Afghan population showed up to the airport?
This is getting out of hand. U.S. needs to prioritize U.S. citizens from now on. I heard that these dumbass Afghans are spreading rumors that if you can make it to the airport and get yourself on a plane they'll have visa ready for processing at the next destination. Now a bunch of randoms showing up at the steps. We need to get our citizens and GTFO. No way there is time to sort through these Afghans. Frankly I don't think we need anymore of these dalits walking our streets changing U.S. culture and identity. We have an invasion south of the border doing this already.

Did you also hear that our Embassy sent out emails with blank visas on them that had unlimited printout potential?
Careful shitting on those "dumbass Afghans". We had to take over their airport, halt their domestic flights, and hold them at gunpoint to keep them out of their airport. This was after we left our Airforce base in the middle of the fricking night without telling them.

someone posted a day or two ago that Brits in Kabul were warned that foreign fighters were coming from the south and that they need to leave immediately. Now we have reports of an ISIS attack in Kabul.
rumors are materializing into reality. Does the Taliban hate ISIS enough to fight them in Kabul? Is the Taliban invested enough with US relations to protect Americans from ISIS or do they turn a blind eye? There are three players in this game; the UN, Taliban, and ISIS or foreign fighters with no interest in any form of stable Afghan government. And of course the innocent bystanders trapped in the middle.
Wonder if Joe considered calling Trump in to negotiate

At this point the terrorists are seeing what Joe says and then immediately doing the opposite

Good point on max landing and pax count. Though taking off at bingo (if it’s like Winchester on ammo which I’m more familiar with) means they are at absolute minimum and can’t stay in the fight. It would mean one small hiccup and they are out. Maybe bingo fuel is different or they are somewhere in between.

What visa? Do you even know what a visa looks like? It was a 8.5×11 gimmick paper given mostly to U.S. citizens to keep them from panicking and to give them a false sense of hope. Given to you by your gimmick president Jbrack. Anyone thinking that was gonna be accepted at the airport is a dumbass. Just like that dude that was interviewed with ABC when he tried to show it to the troops despite being an American.
