If the Taliban kills any of our people then its a disaster and we will retaliate and they know that, but they haven't yet and we are expected to be out of there within the next 10 days and this will be forgotten about by most people by next year.
We knew the Taliban was gonna take over, the mistake was thinking they couldn't do it this fast.
This will never be forgotten, you dumb frick. The day before yesterday we evacuated less 300 Americans and we have until August 31st to do so. There are around 15,000 Americans behind enemy lines. You clearly don’t understand the seriousness of what is going on. Forget the Afghanis, I’m willing to bet right now that in a few years we’re going to find one of these Americans somewhere like UAE or Qatar as sex slaves. China is actively now planning to invade Taiwan over this. This is way worse than 9/11. You sound every bit as deranged, heartless, and delusional as Tavington in the Patriot.
“This will be forgotten.”

So the French are rescuing and we’re being told to sit??
Not I think we should be sitting, but the french arent trying to round up 10-40,000 people either. Neither are the british or anyone else.
The british have about 4,000 and they've also said that some will be left behind due to them not being in kabul.
I cant find a number for the french, it seems they dont really have very many people there at all. Its probably easier/faster for them to just go get them and leave rather than sit around and wait.
Stupid officers and a stupid president are making this harder than it should be. I know there are videos of the taliban being violent, but we've been really lucky that they really really want us to leave.

Officers in the military that want to have a future career in politics and a brain dead president.

That would be a plus on this current situation. We don’t have any leaders right now. This is as close as a country can get to a chicken with its head cut off.

Personally I just think people are too scared to post about it on Facebook now. Facebook is making lists and a lot of people think they may have Facebook “friends” that would rat them out to the Woke Gestapo, and they are likely correct. People are cowards.

Has this been talked about in this thread, ABC selectively edited their interview with Biden to omit 900 words of the conversation: ABC News Appears To Have Not Aired 900+ Words From Biden During Interview On GMA. Here They Are.
quote:
PART 1:
STEPHANOPOULOS: Let’s get right to it. Back in July, you said a Taliban takeover was highly unlikely. Was the intelligence wrong, or did you downplay it? BIDEN: I think — there was no consensus. If you go back and look at the intelligence reports, they said that it’s more likely to be sometime by the end of the year. The idea that the tal — and then it goes further on, even as late as August. I think you’re gonna see — the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and others speaking about this later today.
quote:
PART 2:
STEPHANOPOULOS: I– I think a lot of– a lot of Americans, and a l– even a lot of veterans who served in Afghanistan agree with you on the big, strategic picture. They believe we had to get out. But I wonder how you respond to an Army Special Forces officer, Javier McKay (PH). He did seven tours. He was shot twice. He agrees with you. He says, “We have to cut our losses in Afghanistan.” But he adds, “I just wish we could’ve left with honor.”
BIDEN: Look, that’s like askin’ my deceased son Beau, who spent six months in Kosovo and a year in Iraq as a Navy captain and then major– I mean, as an Army major. And, you know, I’m sure h– he had regrets comin’ out of Afganista– I mean, out of Iraq.
He had regrets to what’s– how– how it’s going. But the idea– what’s the alternative? The alternative is why are we staying in Afghanistan? Why are we there? Don’t you think that the one– you know who’s most disappointed in us getting out? Russia and China. They’d love us to continue to have to–
quote:
PART 3:
STEPHANOPOULOS: So you don’t think this could’ve been handled, this exit could’ve been handled better in any way? No mistakes? BIDEN: No. I– I don’t think it could’ve been handled in a way that there– we– we’re gonna go back in hindsight and look, but the idea that somehow there’s a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing, I don’t know how that happens. I don’t know how that happened. STEPHANOPOULOS: So for you, that was always priced into the decision? BIDEN: Yes. Now, exactly what happened– is not priced in. But I knew that they’re gonna have an enormous, enorm– look, one of the things we didn’t know is what the Taliban would do in terms of trying to keep people from getting out, what they would do. What are they doing now? They’re cooperating, letting American citizens get out, American personnel get out, embassies get out, et cetera. But they’re having– we’re having some more difficulty in having those who helped us when we were in there– STEPHANOPOULOS: And we don’t really know what’s happening outside of Kabul. BIDEN: Pardon me? STEPHANOPOULOS: We don’t really know what’s happening outside of Kabul. BIDEN: Well– we do know generically and in some specificity what’s happening outside of Kabul. We don’t know it in great detail. But we do know. And guess what? The Taliban knows if they take on American citizens or American military, we will strike them back like hell won’t have it.
quote:
PART 4:
STEPHANOPOULOS: How about our Afghan allies? We have about 80,000 people– BIDEN: Well, that’s not the s– STEPHANOPOULOS: Is that too high? BIDEN: That’s too high. STEPHANOPOULOS: How many– BIDEN: The estimate we’re giving is somewhere between 50,000 and 65,000 folks total, counting their families.
quote:
PART 5:
STEPHANOPOULOS: You talked about our adversaries, China and Russia. You already see China telling Taiwan, “See? You can’t count on the Americans.” (LAUGH) BIDEN: Sh– why wouldn’t China say that? Look, George, the idea that w– there’s a fundamental difference between– between Taiwan, South Korea, NATO. We are in a situation where they are in– entities we’ve made agreements with based on not a civil war they’re having on that island or in South Korea, but on an agreement where they have a unity government that, in fact, is trying to keep bad guys from doin’ bad things to them. We have made– kept every commitment. We made a sacred commitment to Article Five that if in fact anyone were to invade or take action against our NATO allies, we would respond. Same with Japan, same with South Korea, same with– Taiwan. It’s not even comparable to talk about that. STEPHANOPOULOS: Yeah, but those– BIDEN: It’s not comparable to t– STEPHANOPOULOS: –who say, “Look, America cannot be trusted now, America does not keep its promises–“ BIDEN: Who– who’s gonna say that? Look, before I made this decision, I met with all our allies, our NATO allies in Europe. They agreed. We should be getting out. STEPHANOPOULOS: Did they have a choice? BIDEN: Sure, they had a choice. Look, the one thing I promise you in private, NATO allies are not quiet. You remember from your old days. They’re not gonna be quiet. And so– and by the way, you know, what we’re gonna be doing is we’re gonna be putting together a group of the G-7, the folks that we work with the most– to– I was on the phone with– with Angela Merkel today. I was on the phone with the British prime minister. I’m gonna be talking to Macron in France to make sure we have a coherent view of how we’re gonna deal from this point on.

The transcript is bad enough as it is. I have no idea what Biden is talking about for like 3/4 of it and neither does he. If these journalists actually care about this country more than power (I think Clarissa Ward has proven this) then they need to release the full tape unedited and say Biden is clearly unfit for office. History will judge you very harshly if you don’t George.

He literally negotiated this withdrawal with the Taliban and was mad because we dint withdrawal all our troops by May like he wanted.
What I've read so far has been that Trump negotiated with Taliban reps for May pull out. Then Biden got elected and opted to change that date to Sept, without renegotiating with the Taliban. He announced this in April. After which the Taliban said "well if they aren't we aren't" so they began taking back small cities on the periphery and moving inwards. So yes , Trump talked to the Taliban, but Biden got a big head and wanted to make the pull out his glorious moment and fricked it all up.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I posted this to Facebook because most folks won’t get this anywhere else and thought I’d cross post it here since I think it will provide clarity.
You’ll hear folks talk about the Doha Agreement between Trump and the taliban. Here’s a little background.
The Doha agreement didn’t “hand over the country of Afghanistan to the taliban”. The agreement neither recognized the taliban as a government entity nor did it cede land rights to Afghanistan at any point. It was an agreement to ensure no action would be taken by the taliban against the US or any US interest in Afghanistan through March of this year. To the best of my knowledge the taliban honored that agreement.
Biden didn’t agree to continue the agreement as he advertised. Except for a few minor points, the bulk of the agreement expired in March. Biden scrapped the original plan to pull out which pushed the final pull out date past March. This negated the protection of the Doha agreement. So the Biden administration actually violated the Doha agreement by remaining past March causing this disaster.
This failure is all on Biden. Although he claimed he made the “tough decision to pull the troops out”, this is false, he actually extended their time there. The decision to pull out was already made by the previous administration and is laid out in the agreement. He actually delayed the previously planned troop withdrawal that was covered under the protection of the Doha agreement. Had he followed the original plan, this likely could have been avoided.
In reality, he likely delayed the pull out so ending the war wouldn’t be credited to the previous administration and would be credited to him. He was playing politics and caused this disaster.
By the way, did you know Biden is on vacation in Delaware through the weekend? There is no one manning the executive branch during this crisis.
Here’s a link to the Doha agreement for reference.

There are. My son is there and fits one of these groups. He’s there with 2 Companies and a whole lot of other guys. I can only imagine they are either running ops in the dark or being kept on a chain. Obviously in today’s military if they just take it on themselves they will end up in Leavenworth.

So it turns out the Biden Administration is every bit as stupid as CrimsonFever. I shite you not this is their strategy:
White House officials believe Americans' horror over graphic images of the chaos in Kabul and pleas from Afghans will morph into support for the president's decision to pull troops from the country by Aug. 31 after a 20-year war.
Yeah, I’m sure that’s going to work when we leave 10,000+ Americans behind and start seeing their heads roll on YouTube and Twitter. If you evacuated Americans and things still went to hell, that’d be one thing, but with what’s actually going on…
