That headline is such obvious bull shite that Yahoo should be embarrassed.
Trust me. Yahoo has done MUCH worse.

It's a thing people have cared about for a very long time, and sometimes?
Is this really a new concept for you?
Are you seriously arguing that taking a pic of yourself with your kid qualifies as "tone deaf"
Is that your position?

It was tone deaf of the Obama’s to post pictures of their family, in a country where so many African American families are forced to be separated by systemic racism.
See how that works? Don’t you remember similar articles?

In fairness, the article is saying that it's tone deaf for the president's daughter to post a picture of her snuggling her child on social media when the government is currently dealing with the scandal of "misplacing" like 1,500 kids.
Is that article writer mentally handicapped? This is where we are with political discourse in this country?

At least Ivanka didn’t post a pic of her dog. Thatd be tone deaf to MS13.
Dogs are good animals, MS13 members are very bad animals and deserve to be hunted down and killed like the vile pests they are.

Wow! We told you liberals that releasing the kids to "family" would mean they'd never show up for their hearings, or worse, would fall into the seedy world of child sex trafficking.
But no, you said it was inhumane to hold them in a secure facility, so we went with your touchy feelings.
Shove it straight up your arse!

Again, the who is important. If you, Zach, had a dream vacation planned for September 15th, 2001, no one would have bat an eye if you went, enjoyed yourself, and took all the pictures. If you happened to live in New York next door to someone who lost their spouse when the towers collapsed, people would probably look at you a little sideways. If you are the President of the United States, you would be pilloried in every publication in the country.
Maybe you're overthinking this a bit??
Paralysis by analysis.

quote:Right. Everything you do has to have some slant of acknowledgement of the plight of minorities in this new made up "the chilluns" PR ploy and in general.
"Tone deafness" is now a thing people are supposed to give a crap about and warrants an article??
You have to walk around with your head down in admission of your evil whiteness, shamed by the beautiful purity of a continent where dindus still eat children, legitimately believing that doing so will give them magical powers.

I’m on my phone so I’m disinclined to respond to each person who has addressed me in turn. I picked Zach in honor of my sitting on my porch drinking a lovely cup of coffee, so it makes me think of him
And for the purpose of my own amusement, I’ll just jumble all of my responses together and we can find out who is overly sensitive
I’m not a liberal, and stop being such an aggressive little bitch. I’m not really making the argument the article is making; I was simply seeking to explain it. Certainly not saying that we all have to walk on eggshells, but I think being a decent human being calls for us to sometimes take the difficulties of others into account before we act. Yes, the media is bullshite and let the Obamas get away with a host of things they would have bitched about had the Trumps or Bushes done the same. I imagine I interact with a more diverse group of people on a daily basis than most on this board, and I can almost guarantee my friend group is more politically diverse.
And everyone take a deep breath. It’s going to be ok

You're retarded. No one can predict reliably what idiots will be offended by.
People aren't going to stop enjoying their children just because liberals are mentally deranged.

Progs want to stifle everything we do by causing us to stop, reflect, and abstain, so not to appear insensitive.
Here’s a pic for you.

You’re smarter than that.
If my sister lost a child to cancer, I would probably refrain from going crazy posting pictures of my children on Facebook. You know, because I’m a decent human being.
When you are in the public eye, you should take into account larger public perceptions, or be prepared to deal with the fallout. Thems the breaks. Again, I’m not saying she did anything wrong. I’m simply explaining why some people are reacting this way. And no, you can’t anticipate what people will be pissed off about, and frankly, you shouldn’t always cater to it. But, if the echo chamber on this board wants to continue being myopic, and pretend like there’s absolutely zero basis to this, more power to you, I guess

Your explanation is weak. The explanation is Trump derangement syndrome. Anything other explanation is excuse mongering

I spent the last eight years warning my liberal friends that their elation from having “won” was drawing them too close to the sun. Looks like I’m going to spend the subsequent eight doing the same with my conservative friends

Doesn’t get any more retarded than this. “Tone deaf” by posting a picture of her family? LOL
