Pretty sure our Navy will navigate the strait as they wish. Insurance companies are telling tankers and cargo ships they aren't covered if they do.

Trump’s foreign policy is “fake it until you make it.” He’s just winging it. Someone said this would be similar to Venezuela, and he signed off on it, without really giving it much thought or discernment.

The USA doesn't need the strait either.....China and rest of the area does!
You need to inform the Fed with your infinite wisdom as they completely disagree with you.

Believe me, I remember when oil spiked much higher than now. Believe me, the Strait will soon be clear from now on and oil prices a much more stable commodity.
If you believe the people in charge did not anticipate it closing, please remember we attacked Iran and did not ever enter the Persian Gulf.
We know control their skies and have since day 5.
It Will Be GLORIOUS!!

Go to YouTube and visit a channel called Navy Decoded. Once there watch a video called Why the Navy rushed the USS Tripoli to the Strait of Hormuz. It’s a very interesting watch. That whole site if very interesting. I would just post it for you but my internet connection is awful right now. They are working on the network in my area and my connection is slow as Christmas right now. That video is very enlightening and could be very well what’s about to happen. Maybe someone can post it for everyone else. I would go for that video and watch all the others. It’s a very interesting site.

The United States imports a minimal amount of oil from the Strait of Hormuz, estimated at roughly 0.5 million barrels per day (b/d) as of 2024–2025, which represents only about 2% of total U.S. petroleum consumption. Due to high domestic production and Canadian imports, U.S. exposure to potential disruptions in this waterway is low.

We are still doing the muh no plan thing?
This mission has been planned for 40 years. The compile a number of the options deemed most likely to present to the president and he chooses one.
Leaving the straight closed until our marines arrive COULD BE PART OF one of those plans for some reason.
Either way saying they didnt plan immediately outs you as unserious. You can make an assertion that maybe the plan wasnt perfect, or something went wrong but not that they just didnt do it.
And before someone asks "muh why didnt they have the marines there ready"
Its because theyre stationed in Okinawa and one of if not our most important constantly forward deployed pieces checking China. Moving them wouldve been a last resort and something they wouldve very very much been reluctant to do

They are dishonest by design. Read and weep, Democrat losers:
quote:
During the Biden administration, gas prices surged across the country, reaching levels many drivers hadn’t seen in years. According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the national average price of regular gasoline climbed above $4 per gallon for several consecutive months in 2022, beginning in March and remaining there through July. Prices ultimately peaked at about $5.02 to $5.07 per gallon in June 2022, marking the highest national average ever recorded

How bout you Panicans calm TF down and let things play out?
He just exposed the fact that our NATO allies aren't allies and decapitated their leadership while decimating their military.
Oil will be back down before May. The market will take a shite here in a couple weeks or so and then rebound with the end of the conflict and submarining oil prices. Our economy is set to boom. I say the market is up at least 15% by year end. GOP takes the midterms. Relax...or don't. Sell all your stocks, I'll buy them at a nice discount.
