According to CBS nightly news police had contact with Crimo twice.

Once in April 2019 for a suicide attempt.

The 2nd time in Sept 2019 when he said he was going to "kill everyone."

Police removed 16 knives, a dagger, and a sword, but said there was not probable cause to arrest him.

Looks like the police dropped the ball again

Did he break any laws? Why’d they take his shite? What can they legally do if he didnt break laws? Need mental institutions.

Local police are pretty much heavily armed janitors.

OK, we have a red flag law now for this so we don't need to pass anything new.

Or as they call it in Chicago, a starter kit.

If he didn’t break a law, and you’re good with them taking his knives then you’re a fan of Red Flag laws. I get he was crazy but what law was broken to keep him from owning a gun? If it’s the words he said…that’s not enough for me!

If IL has red flag laws why didn't the police report him?

I'm no Rocket Scientist but I'd think those "red flag" laws should apply here

While I'm not in favor of it a ban would certainly be easier to enforce than current state where it may or may not be ok. It would simplify law enforcement and also give them tactical advantages in most situations.

Of course that's exactly why it's a stupid fricking idea to ban guns.

What felony did he commit in 2019?
A suicide attempt is not considered a mental illness. So how did the police drop the ball?

His mother is reported to be a real weirdo. If someone had ratted on him they would've probably had to deal with her wrath. He went to her after the shootings, and was caught in her car.

It's certainly an indicator that something is going wrong.

I’d guess it depends on the state, but if threatening to kill your girlfriend or wife is “terroristic threatening” then:

“said he was going to kill everyone”

has to be the same but on a grand scale, right? Pretty sure that agin the law.

Your reality is this: With fewer mental institutions, more crazies are able to take the rights of the normals.

With not 1 refinery being built since 1985, dirivatives of oil are sky high.

Why? They want to take away your rights.

Thank God for a revised SCOTUS willing to play by the rules the US Constitution provides.

Your responsibility: Hammer through all communicative means to your elected officials your needs and their oath to abide by the Constitution.

It is a very simple concept: Squeaky wheels get greased!!
