Three minutes into the discussion with reporters:
President Trump: “This was a meeting where a letter was given to me by Kim Jong-Un, and that letter was a very nice letter, oh would you like to see that letter. ... It was a very interesting letter, and at some point I may be, it may be appropriate, and maybe I’ll be able to give it to you, you’ll be able to see it.”
Seven minutes later:
Reporter: “Mr. President, what was your response to the letter, did you send anything back?”
President Trump: “No, I didn’t. I haven’t seen the letter yet. I purposely didn’t open the letter. I didn’t open it in front of the Director. I said, ‘Would you want me to open it?’. He said, ‘You can read it later.’ I may be in for a big surprise, folks!”
I’m aware that the last line was a joke. But somebody reconcile this in a way that isn’t 3-D chess or something silly.

It’s not fun being right about this kind of thing.

See above. See the OP.
We’re giving things away, burning good will, and getting nothing back.
If I liked the idea of America first, this administration’s moves would do nothing for me. As someone who likes free trade and open markets, it certainly isn’t productive.

So a continuation of Obama’s foreign policy. Sounds awful.

We aren’t celebrating that North Korean tensions haven’t improved. We’re doing a victory lap and telling you “I told you so”.
How many of these fricking idiots who rush to dance on the grave of anything GEOTUS tries (even though it is good for USA and humanity) realize how stupid they look?

Well, this is just a blatant lie. You are now reduced to lying. How wonderful, your mom would be so proud.

The denial required to be a raging progressive is staggering.

I can’t imagine you graduated. I didn’t, either. It’s okay.

Your post history determined that this is the truth.

As it gets closer, I think we should be reminded of this.

I'm considering changing my downvote to an upvote just because this thread has aged so well.

Meet and greet. Wow!
Once again, no progress has been made, and it’s incredibly unlikely it will. See: tariffs.

Of course none of it is over. That’s my point.
