re: Sunday's Gospel reading from Mathew 10 was not fricking around

As a nation, we are up against some tough times but past generations have dealt with tough times too. With each passing day we all get one day closer to whatever our destination is.
The Lord never said everything will be easy but He did say He would be with us through it all if we believe in Him. We will face trials and tribulations and evil will continue to grow and spread. No man knows the day or time when these things will be brought to an end but there are things that believers can do.
One promise I don’t believe we as a nation have fully pursued is to follow the guidance of 2 Chronicles 7:14-If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

There are remnants of believers who pray and seek God but as a nation, we no longer come together in prayer seeking God’s will, asking for forgiveness nor do we turn from the wicked ways that have become common activities. God offers hope for our nation, but not through ignoring Him.

We're not immune to the actions of the secular and evil, unfortunately. It will be a carpet bombing, and many of us will suffer.

We just have to pray that there are pockets of refuge to which we can flee and find safety among our brethren... But those gatherings will become bigger targets of the enemy.

You're admitting he did those things with the expectation that everyone worship him. The literal opposite of selfless.
