Suggestion on how to handle this situation

First, I know my mistake was even debating a liberal snowflake on Facebook. Nothing bad was said in either direction, though it was heated to a point. I get a call from my VP of Marketing at my company that this tick turd posted on my company's Facebook page under reviews that I do nothing put spew racist posts on Facebook and how can the company support that?
I have never, nor will ever say anything racists so i encourage him to produce evidence. Ultimately, its not a big deal but i just things this really crossed the line!
What say you?

Mine does. Some loser posted a similar post about a person in my department, and the legal department shut that down in ~1 day.
You better pray you don't have any racism on your facebook, of course, but if you don't, they can literally drag him to court for making you / the company look bad.

I only Facebook with friends and don’t post anything political. But I only post about 3 times a year.

Get in front of the story to your boss. Own everything, even if it paints you in an unfavorable light. Apologize and come with a corrective action to avoid this in the future.

First off, I fricking hate liberals and this is why. They always have to 'report' everything they don't like to a higher authority and hope you are 'dealt with' for disagreeing with them. Then they claim we are the fascists.
Now that my rant is over, I would show your VP of Marketing what exactly you had said that it was not on company time and you did not mention your place of employment and that it had nothing to do with your employer. I would imagine they won't care what you do on your personal time.
If you are going to get involved with politics on Facebook, remove your employer from your profile. It's sad you have to do this, but you need to remove any traces of yourself if you get into discussions with these crazy people.
