Already linked to 2 sites promoting it as that. Don't be lazy and make me post more.

Well, hell, with such reliable sources, I can understand why they could be deceived.
Sorry but a lot of pot smokers are low-information types.

There has been a huge and ongoing campaign to legalize pot for several years and it has ramped up significantly over the past few years as more states have legalized its use. Those campaigns are touting its benefits while claiming its completely safe. How many times have we heard that people are not dying from smoking it?

The point is that it not only doesn't hurt people, but it heals all sorts of maladies; it's being marketed as a cure-all drug that people would be stupid not to smoke, much less support its legalization. There is no "do not smoke while pregnant" disclaimer being pushed in that campaign, so it's easy to see how women would think it's fine to smoke while pregnant.

Probably the same people who pay for the tremendous adverse health effects that high-fructose sweetened drinks play. I'm sure you're all about banning soft drinks too so you can be consistent and everything.

Thats just dumb. You're equating fresh squeezed orange juice with pot.

I'm not really for or against legalization, but I think we need to be a little more cautious about the ramifications of legalization.

All studies on marijuana usage aside, we all know people who abuse pot and the effects it has on their life and personality. Is it cause or effect? Are they lazy pieces of shite because of the pot, or are they just lazy pieces of shite who smoke to ease their mental anguish?

Are there productive people who are regular users? I'm sure there are, just as there are drunks who are productive people. The problems I've seen, are some pot users get high daily before work and during the day. They spend the whole damn day high, and although they think they're functioning fine, they're fricking stoned and can't perform as they should if they were sober.

I'm basing this on someone I know very well and others who I'm familiar with. So this is not just bullshite stereotyping.

Do you believe that the benefits of any recreational drug, outweigh the side effects? I don't. That includes legal or illegal.
It's all harmful, and everyone that is going to use it,better believe that going in.

No. It wasn't.

The war on drugs is a different story. Society should not have to pay for your choices.

1- Learning impaired. Higher learning skills impaired. That effects me. Users will have to govern at some point. That effects my kids.

2- Health issues of pot babies.... Somebody has to payt for that.

3- Education cost to teach a with those disabilities or the drop out rate. Or we dumb down the standards.

All very real issues.

"Less harmful than opioids" is the closest I've heard to your claim.

You can't prescribe common sense. Legalize it and put the responsibility on people to use good judgement.
I'd agree with you except for one thing.

We incintivize bad judgement. Until we change that, it would be a very bad idea.

You're trying to legislate stupidity out of the population. That's never going to happen. Those pregnant women were going to smoke pot whether it's legal or not. I've smoked pot regularly over 20 years, not all of us "potheads" sit around listening to the Dead while we eat cheetohs and have debates on which Spongebob character is funnier.

On this very board, last week it was stated that pot does not cause death. No overdoses, nobody ever died from cancer smoking it.

I just linked you to the Daily Beast promoting it as a help to morning sickness.

You ignored it.

So here is more..

Could Weed Be the Next Big Morning Sickness Cure?

Smoking Marijuana to relieve morning sickness and stress.

More than happy to use the history of this movement and their words.

Is this why you are not "hearing" that it's promoted as a cure for morning sickness?

You just stated that it was not promoted as healthy. 4 posts up.

LINK

In this very link, A report says it's not good and this PRO-WEED site says they are wrong...

quote:

I don’t know, I’m never going to be pregnant, but if I were and my choices to stop puking every day were all these pharmaceuticals that might work sometime later, or to take a couple puffs of a cannabis vaporizer and stop puking now, I think I’d defer to the latter.

Besides, if there were any severe risk of birth defects from the moderate use of cannabis by pregnant women, don’t you think we’d see a dramatic difference in the children of Rastafarians?

Dr. Melanie Dreher published science on this very idea over two decades ago, finding no significant differences between the babies of ganja-smoking moms and their non-smoking counterparts.

Are you as a medical doctor seriously trying to say alcohol is physically safer than marijuana?

Also have you found that link yet showing the hundreds of fatal marijuana overdoses that occur yearly?
