Actually firing a gun would give these panty waists PTSD, or at least they would claim that. LINK

Eurocat says Jaquonn doesn’t have a dad to ask him about his day at school.

I wouldn't want every teacher to carry a firearm. I would want whichever teachers who are comfortable with their ability to safely and responsibly carry a firearm, to carry. Not even open carry, conceal carry is perfect. There is no reason the students need to know which teachers have a gun and which don't. Let them speculate. Have said teachers go though 1 or 2 firearm training courses and your good to go.

If students just knew that one or a few random teachers were armed, and signs posted around schools about ‘armed personnel’ on campus, that’d be a hell of a deterrent to anyone even thinking of shooting up a school.

I don't know if there is a solution, but this would be mine. I know that you can take a short course to become an armed security guard. So at each school, pay for one or two faculty members (non teachers, Like a coach/Dean of students) to complete the course and be qualified. Keep the guns in a safe in unspecified location.

Private schools might just want to go ahead and higher security guards. I know there is at least one in Baton Rouge that does.

I know a few people who have been security guards for 'X' amount of time. They all agreed that the 'training' they went though wasn't anything special. To get "certified" was essentially making sure you don't shoot yourself in the foot if you have to pull your weapon. Id rather have whichever teachers take one or two legitimate pistol training courses.

A large argument for many people who are against arming schools, is where are the funds coming from to pay for security guards or former military guards. The cost to hire someone to 'patrol' a school is far greater than sending 'X' amount of teachers to a few weapons courses.

That's fair. Not everyone should be in possession of a firearm. Allow teachers whom feel comfortable to lock their firearm in their desk. Students do not have to know. Me personally, I am not a gun enthusiast. I didnt grow up hunting or shooting like many on here did. I only recently decided to because I know in today's day and age, we must know how to protect ourselves. I pray I never ever ever be in a situation in life where Id really have to use a gun.

I have no idea if this was technically allowed, but in high school my ROTC teacher told us he had weapons locked away somewhere in his classroom. Of course he wouldn't tell us where, but stated proudly if a maniac ever entered into our school, he has no fear.

Adding more guns is the only solution right now because no one wants to address the real problem and that's mental health.

Agreed! An armed person at a school COULD make a potential shooter think twice. Gun free signs just tell criminals that law abiding people won't shoot at you.

That's exactly why I suggested the training instead of highing hiring. It would be drastically cheaper.

I’ll never understand why security (most) don’t carry. Good luck stopping a determined thug with a nightstick.

Kid is woke AF and appears very mature for his age.
