Yeah, let go from CBS (because she was the only - one, real journalistic reporting resource, who asked questions).

She, like James Woods in an early thread, are both National Treasures we don't deserve, but I'm glad we have.

Ivory, you are correct his case is about his false testimony in congress. But I believe the point of the podcast is not regarding that, but the overall corruption and Comey's central role in it.

I have to admit I am confounded about the testimony charge. Its akin to murdering someone.....and being charged with littering because the body was left in the street.

And this nonsense lawfare jibberish to stop the AG over the archaic blue slip "protocol".

I hate when people say “I talked to ____ amount of _____ and they said”

How many did they ask overall? How did the majority of the experts feel? Did the people you talked to have political leaning?

It would be a much better article and believe able if they had a blind poll of asked 100 former FBI agents and/or 100 former prosecutors.

If you believed some or the majority of the CNN experts Trump would have been in prison years ago.

You can find a lot experts that fit your narrative if you look hard enough

Sounds like your beef is with the theory that the burn bags establish intent to destroy evidence. That would refute Comey's congressional testimony, which forms the indictment's foundation.

I don’t know enough to know how logically those facts flow from one to the next that the reporter is presenting.

I dont. Remember when Mike Rogers alerted the fisa court that the fbi was using outside "consultants" to do ask queries on the NSA system? The judge said if they extrapolate the timeline from the select sample, probably 10K or more ask queries had been made.

Now ask yourself, if you are a consultant, who is paid for info, and you have access to the motherload of all info.....do you think they just did queries on what the fbi wanted on Trump and associates? They probably pulled info on every dem as well as gop, judges, govs, all sorts of people, for future use.

Same with those burn bags, those things are worth gold, let me just set these aside. How do you ever prove you did not burn what you did not burn? Comey cant exactly send an email "did you burn that incriminating evidence I told you to?"

I still find it hard to believe evidence of crimes was thrown into bags to burn then "Oops", the bags are put in a closet for someone to find later.

Again, burn bags have zero to do with this case. Why even bring it up?

Comey could admit his crimes on the stand and say “I’m guilty and did it cause frick Trump” and it wouldn’t mean shite. They will never get a conviction in DC cause the jury pool is infected with TDS.

It’s all a show trial.

Even so, after the shite they've pulled the last 15+ years, including the lawfare against Trump, make them sweat and squirm... and pay for lawyers.

You might be right about the podcast. Maybe I focused too much on the title of this thread: "The CASE Against Comey."

I have gotten sea sick about reading things alleging what a slam dunk the only pending case against Comey...and then reading that they have nothing to do with the actual case against Comey.

They probably don't.

The case against Comey isn't a serious one, he's not going to get in any trouble. The best thing they can do is try and flood the zone with jibberish like this to control the narrative. They want people to think "DC is just so corrupt, that's why!" instead of seeing the case for what it is.

We see this pattern all the time. People going on tv/media say all kinds of ridiculous shite, get up there in court, say something completley different and hope nobody notices.

Well, that is certainly not true. An FBI Director lying to Congress about undercutting an Administration is certainly serious. But I suppose you mean the state is unlikely to prevail?

The evidence released includes FBI 'burn bags' containing sensitive records about the Trump probes. The evidence is credible and could prove hard to overcome if Comey's case goes to trial.

Very odd to release any information about this in filings in Comey’s case because it has zero to do with the proving the case.
might be the, or one, of the things he lied about.
