I’m a realist.
That doesn’t require bravery.

What is so different about Ron’s policies that will sway suburban voters?

DeSantis’ success will depend on his ability to find that same space.

This is why Desantis needs to tell Paul Ryan and the Karl Rove operatives to get the frick away from him.

Desantis needs to align with Trump not with the establishment.

Paul Ryan will guarantee Desantis a short career on the national stage.

He will blow it if that's his choice.

Even if Trump goes to prison, Desantis would struggle against some other Trump endorsed candidate.

It won't matter if Desantis can get a few more college educated voters in the suburbs if he loses a MAGA voter in the process.

I am too. Time to move on.

This party is being dumbed down and it breaks my heart.

I actually saw a serious thread here the other day with a deep conversation about Trump, Ye, and that Milo guy. I’m like - is this serious? This is who you want as your top candidate. Really?

We used to have deep intellectual thoughts about conservatism with even deeper intellectuals leading the conversation. Not sound bites from social media fakes and two word sentences from politicians.

But that is where we are with Trump. How can people not see this?

Quotes like his convince me that 1/3 of this board are paid commentators - either Trump backed or Democratic backed. It happens.

Put some bullshite on the lawn and watch the weeds grow.

I’m sure you’re an intellectual giant the likes of Adam Smith or Edmund Burke. You doing any philosophical work in the area of negative rights?

You couldn't be more wrong.

You do not understand the fundamentals.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell don't know their arse from a hole in the ground.

Desantis or Trump might win if the party is united.

If we have a Trump Desantis war, it's over. Zero chance for either.

That wouldn't bother Paul Ryan one bit as long as Trump is gone.

Democrats are successfully dividing Republicans. That's the plan.

Paul Ryan thinks Trump will be gone by summer. Off the stage and not viable.

But he needs Democrats to make it happen. And why would Democrats help?

They will indict Trump and watch both men bleed to death.

And if Trump wins, they will put him in jail.

If Desantis wins, enough MAGA will stay away that Desantis would be doomed.

There are lots of them here and they can't understand why another dumbass named Walker can't get people out to vote for him.

Listening to the guy stump for votes was painful and frankly embarrassing.

If your vision of the future of the Republican Party is some nutless but high-minded graceful loser coalition run by the likes of Ryan and Santorum, you can count me out.

I’d sooner vote for a Democrat.

It’s embarrassing that you were shamed into being embarrassed about a candidate not in your state who would have provided a reliable vote for values you pretend to care about. And you were shamed into it by people who hate your values. And you’re too short-sighted to see any of it.

Trump and his sycophants are dividing the Republican party.

And the dems are loving it.

How can you say this while railing about candidate “quality” and fretting over who primary voters choose to represent them?

Pot, please meet kettle.

You're trying way too hard. Walker is an embarrassment as a politician and anyone that says otherwise had better never say a bad word about Fetterman/Clybourne/Hirono/etc. He's on their level. The only difference is the R after his name on the ballot.

Saying I am shamed into thinking such is laughable. For someone who normally posts somewhat intelligently your descent into the dumbassery of the typical sycophant is interesting.

Pretty easily.

Trumps policies are popular among the people. Just find someone who isn't a fricking moron to run on them.

And don't require them to kiss the ring of the "God Emperor" before you will vote.
