I like Steve Scalise. I really do. He’s truly one of Louisiana’s best.

But if he truly felt that JBE is terrible for Louisiana and his Governorship can’t get a second term and knowing his candidacy was the only way to guarantee that without a runoff, he would’ve been willing to sacrifice his lofty post in DC to come home and put the Louisiana Statehouse to order.

Even the President asked him to do that.

Sure, it would suck for Louisiana to not have a spot in the house leadership pecking order, but Steve sacrificing that to defeat the political twin of Edwin Edwards would’ve made him a hero.

If JBE was really a Democrat this would actually be true. Unfortunately, JBE is going to win pretty easily

Wait, what?!?

I hope you mean D is in old school D.

JBE is a socialist that sides with Obama and Hillary. LOL

Did another Republican start a campaign this week? The current ones inspire zero confidence.

I like Ralph the best but the problem he has is $$$, or rather the lack thereof.

Ralph has Joe Canizaro and Boysie Bollinger on his fundraising finance committee and Boysie supported JBE back in 2015 and Ralph just locked in 2 million for an ad buy in targeted markets.

Another thing about former JBE supporters, PSC Craig Greene, the “handsome” surgeon supported JBE in 2015 and is supporting Abraham this time around.

So when is the GOP going to turn our state around? They had complete control for 8yrs of Jindal and shite the bed.

Jindal may have been a Republican, but he did not govern as a conservative in the slightest

Actually, his first term was pretty conservative and definitely what I voted for.

The problem with Jindal is that he didn’t Govern anything in Louisiana in his second term. He was more interested in being the Governor of Iowa.

Hear me out here.

Jindal actually cares about LA and governs his second term as well as his first. He easily is one of the best governors we ever have.

With the state riding high, the people finally forgive Vitter and he wins the gov race. Finally his wonkish nature can build on Jindal's work in LA.

Kennedy still goes to the senate. Jindal does a bunch of political commentary during the 16 race. Trump wins and appoints Jindal as Sec of Education. Jindal's school reforms - the ones he perfected during his second term when he gave a shite about the state.

He then resigns in 2022 to become a GOP favorite for president

Or he didn't feel like it would be a slamdunk win and didn't want to enter a race he could possibly lose. Or he just didn't care about the position and wants to keep his position in leadership.

I worry about you. Are you going to be okay when Edwards wins? Of course there is a chance he may not, but he probably will.

Rs will likely take every statewide election besides governor.
