Although it may be entirely plausible Kerr didn't know the identity of the shooter at the time he made his comments because the media takes every step imaginable to hide the identity of shooter who don't fit their narrative

Apparently this guy forgot about all the strict gun laws in Colorado, apparently this guy forgot about the Constitution protecting our right to self-defense, apparently this guy forgot that this won’t deter criminals and crazies, apparently this guy forgot that humans have killed each other with weapons pre-guns since the beginning of time, apparently this guy forgot this punishes law-abiding gun owners in favor of criminals and puts lives at risk, apparently this guy forgot this gives government more power over the citizens THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO SERVE and ironically violate rights. They always want to just pass laws for the sake of passing laws.
Ted Cruz has tried to pass gun measures and democrats refused. It makes no sense to pass gun laws that have no effect on the tragedy that precedes them.
Also, it's a huge red flag when dems are trying to push for legislation in the midst of massive emotional reactions. This is a tactic of scam artists. Play on your emotions.
