Just curious. Is there anybody here who would be against this?

As he should.

They aren't supposed to receive any federal benefits, so they should not count.

The left will fight this with everything they have. Places like California and New York are over represented because of illegals counted in the census.

This is another example of the upside down, clown world we've allowed Marxist Dems to create in our nation.
It's unreasonable and illogical that a person in America who shouldn't be here and isn't a citizen would be included in our census. Especially considering that the census is used as a metric for our federal elections.

Prove me wrong.

Everyone misses this. They all go straight to illegals voting in elections, but that is not the game plan.

The game plan is to count them in the census in order to get more members in Congress for the states that harbor them.

Elon Musk has said many times that having illegals counted in the census is a net gain of 15 to 16 seats for the Dem/Marxists.

So are Texas and Florida.

Pew research says removing undocumented immigrants from the count in 2020 would have cost CA, FL, and TX one congressional seat each. Those seats would move to AL, MN, and OH.

NY lost a seat in 2020 anyway and would have lost just 1 seat even if illegals weren't counted.

I haven't seen ant early estimates on the 2030 census.

This one I suspect Trump will very clearly lose in Court. The constitution uses the word “all” as it orders a census to be conducted every decade.

I appreciate the effort to exclude illegals but this Court will rule against him, probably 7-2. Thomas and Alito will dissent just for the sake of doing it.

Whenever the words “shall”and “all” are used, the intent is very clear.

More importantly, they aren't officially here. We might as well count tourists.

If they stoped counting illegals in the census and pass the Save Act, Democrats may not win another election

According to pew research these are the largest illegal populations by state

California (2.3 million)
Texas (2.1 million)
Florida (1.6 million)
New York (825,000)
New Jersey (600,000)
Illinois (550,000)

It might help republicans but California and Texas basically cancel each other out. Same for Florida and New York. New Jersey and Illinois would be where you could claim the dems have an advantage under the current system.

If illegal aliens are counted, they should be put into a category that is excluded from funding allocations, electoral counts and any forms of assistance.

Putting illegal aliens and tourists into a different category that is not subject to electoral or funding allocations might pass muster. There are perhaps valid reasons to do a complete head count, but there are even more valid reasons not to include them in ways that corrupt our system.
