more. Let them rant and rave and continue to jump up and down calling everyone Hitler. I think the majority of non-political people will watch the growing disconnect between their rhetoric and reality.

Give him the credit he deserves. He helped get Trump elected.

His dedication to The Party is more complete than any religious zealot.

Again, Carson, Leno, Letterman, SNL used to make fun of all politicians. Now, all these new pussies want to throw their damn politics into it. That's another reason America has gone to shite.

You have to wonder if at some point the owners of CBS are going to come to their senses and realize that there's a huge audience out there that they're pissing away. When a guy like Carson were doing these shows, everyone was fair game but it was usually good natured ribbing. Colbert is partisan and bitter and acts like some Soviet commissar exhorting the masses to ever greater loyalty to the cause. Kimmel is the same way. The comedy is dead. There's just the party Rah Rah now.

He did mention one thing in his garbage monologue that was correct. Trump didn’t place his hand on the Bible while taking the oath. What’s up with that?

When they mark themselves, it's up to the rest of us to make use of the marking.

I don't know how late night TV and the View survive.

Near the end of the election after Trump made his appearance on the Rogan podcast, I looked up the number of viewer/listeners for different forms of media. At the time I checked, the Rogan/Trump broadcast had 35 million viewer/listeners. (Disclaimer, the #s I'll quote are approximate since it has been a few months. ). Colbert was the most watched late night tv show w/ about 5 million viewers/show. OTOH, during his day, Johnny Carson pulled about 50 million viewers/show! Although the US population has grown significantly, the old Johnny Carson Show kills today's show in terms of viewership. Of course, there are also a lot more forms of entertainment now than then. It's possible the networks are still getting a lot of advertising revenue, but I doubt it. It's possible some are willing to take it on the chin financially to push their agenda.
