If Obama makes a statement that furthers that illegal purpose then it is possible that the day such statement is made could start the SOL.

I’m not sure how the statute of limitations can apply to top secrete intel until it officially becomes declassified. That’s when the Statute time frame should start. Is there a statute of limitations on sedition and treason?

Which is the basis of my OP - If Obama was the 'chief conspirator' and the obvious intent was to keep the public misinformed on the Russian interest wrt "who they wanted to win" it would appear to me that Obama's recent statement would be in furtherance of that original conspiracy.

I think any acts of concealment or acts in furtherance would extend it- and who is saying it stopped with the Mueller probe, anyway. It just rebranded.
It sounds like they’re hinting that this was just the beginning of the conspiracy and once they started lying, they couldn’t stop.
TBH - I’m not sure if it’s treason - I think it’s obstruction of justice.

What is the substantive crime the conspiracy is advancing. That is the key to determining when the SOL runs. The last act in furtherance of that purpose will begin the SOL.

Far be it from wanting anything but Obama legacy to be dismantled, charged and tried followed by imprisonment but him talking about it this week is but just that a statement that a divorce attorney from this board could even pick apart. Conspiracy takes two or more and unless they could show something ongoing from lat 2020 then conspiracy would probably be off the table in getting a conviction. Adding it to a lengthy list of illegal acts would probably be done regardless but key here is to rock that foundation around Obama. Getting the gang around him is best first so to drag Obama regularly through the mud

This is what I'm worried about - obvious lying to the public to influence an elections is not 'illegal' or else the whole Democrat party and 3/4 of the GOP would be in jail already.

That is the foundation of my original question. Certainly people running for office can make up any lie they want about their opponent with no criminal recourse. And congress critters actually LIE in the halls of Congress with no problem. But for the POTUS, acting in his official capacity, to knowingly LIE to further his OWN interests, that should be illegal. And especially if he utilizes the powers of his office to get OTHERs to support his lies and even advance them - in contrast to what those agents KNEW to be untrue - that would seem to be a RICO type of charge.
But I am really unlearned on the nuances of this crap
But I do know right from wrong - and what has transpired from Obama et al for the past 10 years is WRONG.

Agreed.
I would like nothing more than to see Obama, Clinton, Brennan, etc. charged and humiliated the way they did Trump.
But I think the most we are going to be able to get is perjury charges against people who were questioned under oath.
