As I’ve outlined numerous times any accidental or manufactured event in Poland is a pretext to invoke article 5 if they choose.

Sure. While we're inventing hypos that won't happen, if Kenya and Uruguay lob missiles from Mexico into El Paso, it would also be an Article V violation.
You've read too many Tom Clancy novels.

frick that pansy. We’re out. Europe is on their own. No more American blood and treasure for the globalist scum. America First, above all else.

How does that matter?
The only thing that should govern Ukraine's relationship with the EU is how Ukraine and the EU feel about it. Russia doesn't retain some inherent right to dictate Kiev's foreign relations just because Moscow ties itself to the Kievan Rus from 1,000 years ago.

so I got back to apparently RU has no right to see the EU integration into ukraine as an aggressive move. Which is ignorant.
I guess you're one of the ones that takes Moscow's public statements as Moscow's actual belief on an issue. Its about economic hegemony, not security.
Russia is economically threatened by the EU integrating the former Soviet states and looking West/South for energy instead of to Russia. There is no legitimate threat from the EU militarily, and there hasn't been since the EU existed.

Incorrect. Russia has been invaded through Ukraine 3 times during their History. There is a reason they say Ukraine is a red line for them. We would never allow Russia or China to setup shop in Mexico or Canada. The fact you don't get this makes you ignorant or obtuse

Lol so how about a air incident involving Russian and Brit aircraft?
Posted on 3/2/25 at 2:10 pm to John Barron
Good.
When Russia drops your aircraft and kills your troops, the words Article V better not escape your lips.

Yea, I'm sure that the Kremlin is terrified of the Bundeswehr and its 200 Leopard 2's charging across the steppe to Moscow.

There is a reason they say Ukraine is a red line for them.
They want influence over its resources, which they have enjoyed for the most part unimpeded for the last 400 years.

These are red herring scenarios that make zero sense because they have no basis in history or reality. Ukraine turning West instead of to Moscow economically is a huge threat to Russia's bottom line. It isn't a threat to their territorial integrity. Just to their pride and their wallet.

Impossible scenario some seem to believe.

I hope we are not getting sucked into war with Russia...
you can almost see this setting up....some Euro/nato nations will put small numbers of "peacekeepers" on the ground in Ukraine to "stand with the the Brits and Z...then Z will send a missle deep into Russia at some point and Russia will respond as they have been saying they would and a shitload of these "peacekeepers' will ge killed in the response and that will be all she wrote..

Impossible scenario. There are no logical avenues to escalation.

That’s maybe 10k men and a couple of aircraft. Also, what’s the pointing of sending aircraft, are they planning on bombing the Russians?
Posted on 3/2/25 at 2:23 pm to Megasaurus
I don’t think Trump is gonna let us get sucked into combat over Ukraine.
I’m actually not worried anymore about it like when Biden was in.

I remember several European countries got their panties twisted last week when Trump was working on a peace deal directly with Russia and Ukraine.
The weren't going to support Trump's deal without their involvement. Trump should just tell them all that he won't support any deal and end all US involvement in the conflict.
Then he should go ahead and sign the rare earth's minerals deal with Russia and any other deals that could help both America and Russia while European countries are pumping their tiny cash reserves into Ukraine. Similar to how they were funding Russia's invasion by buying LNG/oil while the US was dumping truckloads of cash inti Ukraine.
It's time Europe faces reality without the US taxpayer funding their lifestyles while they sit back and talk shite about Americans.

Yeah what could air superiority over Ukraine matter in modern warfare?

Hell let them start WW3 over there. Drag China into it as well
Let them destroy one another so we can reap the economic benefits the next 20 years like we did after WW2

Uh nukes pointed at each other.

Your willingness to suggest there are no viable scenarios that could escalate actions is laughable.
