I never got the frenzy over Springsteen.
He's one of those guys (Elton John is another) that if you look at his entire body of work there's enough material that I like to maybe fill one long album.
Maybe 15 songs.
I never got the Springsteen aesthetic. He dressed and sang like a blue collar hard rocker but the backing music was definitely softer and poppier than that.
It never matched up for me. Out of the hypothetical 15 songs I could pick out of his catalog that I liked, probably 5 of them would come from Nebraska, and I think that's the reason why.
I also never cared for four hour long concerts which is the other thing he's legendary for. I can't sustain an emotional peak for that long so at some point I just go numb and stop caring, and then that ends up becoming boredom and light annoyance.
The one time I saw Metallica they played for about 3 1/2 hours and I just couldn't take it. I walked out with about a half hour to go.
I get that some people think that's awesome and that's their prerogative. Just not for me.

Elvis got this right decades ago "Honey, I'm just an entertainer and prefer to keep my political beliefs to myself"

Of course he sides with illegals… he was born to run.

Never did. I used to get shite for it in the 80's.

I like about 5 of his songs. Considering his how extensive his catalog is that’s not much. Don’t care for the guy though. Limousine Liberal like so many other celebrities.

I'd drink a beer with him but he probably hates beer and only likes sissy drinks.
He tried to come off as an every man but he's too much of a whiner to pull that off.

Never cared for him even before I knew he was a deranged leftist.

I am still laughing at the Boss, he was all kinds of butthurt military members used his antiwar song Born In The USA as their own, ignoring his vision of the song.

Never did. He hasn't changed.

If you ask 10 people their favorite Bruce Springsteen song, 9 out of 10 will say Born in the USA - That's called a One Hit Wonder.
