I really don't think there isn't anything the government doesn't know about us unless we've been living under A rock for 20+ years

54% Italian
15% Spanish
14% Greek
10% Middle Eastern
7% Jewish
However, I have a Chinese, Sri Lankan and Indian ancestor dating back to 1222
Plus,as a family, we traced our ancestry back to the late 1500s and everyone was from Sicily. Thought I would have more Italian DNA.

Do you feel the same way about police searches of your home? If you didn't do anything wrong, you've nothing to hide, right?
This is comparable to having your home in Southern Living
Sure look at it all you want. I don’t really plan on having a crime linked to it.

My daughter got it done - I didn't. Confirmed what I already knew from my brother's first hand detective work in archives. Mostly England - ancestors came there from Denmark (Vikings) and "intermarried" (raped) local Britons.

I was contacted by someone on Facebook wanting me to contact "her" because she had an indication that we might be related and "she" was looking for her father. "She" gave me a phone number to call.
I played it safe and used an anonymous text app, and sent a message that I would not give her access to my profile or phone number or address until she shared, using the messenger app on Facebook, the facts that led her to contact me via Facebook. Nobody in my family has registered their DNA on Ancestry.com or any other service.
"She" wrote back that she could only share the info if I shared mine first. Seemed scammy. I wrote back again, using an anonymous app, that if she really was looking for "her" father and if she thought I could help, that she'd have to explain why she wanted my info, otherwise, my personal information was not available and I would block her.
"She wrote back, "well there are thousands of people with your name and I need to verify your background to know if you're the right person."
So, I anonymously wrote again, "lay your cards on the table or get blocked."
I got a response: "frick you!"
I don't know if it was a scammer or not, but I blocked whoever it was.
