Mike Johnson of La. or Donalds from Fla. are my choices.
Would Donalds as selected speaker candidate make the Dems sustain the branding of being racist if they all voted against Donalds?
Donalds might be a better choice than our favorite son Mike Johnson.

Wrong Mrs. Drama Queen...aka...Conspiracy Nut.
You people are not willing to hold any of you America First clowns responsible for anything. You remind me of the Democrats. Brainwashed Cult Members.
Is what he said about Donalds true or not?

So it seems Emmer is the worst choice. That’s who they’ll pick.
Yep…been saying that. It will be interesting to see how the freedom caucus votes on this guy.

About time they act like professionals.

Newsmax just reported that Emmer was the leading candidate in the secret caucus ballot with 74 votes. SOTH candidate field pared down to 5 candidates.
ETA-I downvoted myself. Emmer sucks and is one of the worst candidates for SOTH. Hern or Johnson should be more strongly considered as compromise candidates as I think the freedom caucus would get in line behind either. GOPe will likely not let that happen though because swampers gotta swamp

It’s coming. We are screwed…By our own party.

Emmer sounds 100% uniparty. Probably worse than McCarthy.

I left the Republican party a couple years ago. Was registered red before that for 33 years.

That's what happens when you do something without a plan. We are possibly going to wind up with someone worse than Trump's boy McCarthy.

when one wakes up and truly realizes they are all mostly posers putting on dog and pony shows.
there is nothing wrong with pulling the fire alarm w/o a plan. ask the dipshit democrat that literally did so.

Ever heard of cutting your nose off to spite your face? What is your excuse if they elect that clown from MN? He will be worse than McCarthy(who by the way was pushed by the man that only hires the best).

McCarthy is just as bad. Maybe worse because he just does it in secret.

Gary Palmer is my Congressman. He’s a good man and I like him. He is certainly a true conservative. That said, he hasn’t really done anything particularly remarkable as a congressman, and he just doesn’t seem like the sort of hard nosed person we would like to see as speaker.
Also, when he originally ran for the seat in 2014, he promised to only serve 5 terms (10 years). His 5th term will end in January 2025, but he has since turned from his promise and is running for a 6th term in 2024. His argument/claim is that he now has enough influence and experience to get things accomplished and that it took multiple terms over his first 5 terms to get to that point, so he doesn’t want to leave now while he now has a voice that is actually heard.
