He promised he would never support a spending bill that did not end the border crisis - instead, he backed one that INCREASES THE FLOW OVER THE BORDER and funds a RED FLAG CENTER to prevent us from owning guns.

The approps bill isn’t the same bill as the border/Ukraine bill the House rejected.

He could posture more. He could stomp his feet, but with a razor thin majority full of RINOs he can't stop it. He could shut down the government for a while until the press and opinion polls got so bad in an election year that he is forced to fold. But we'd have to same spending bill with Dems guaranteed to retake the House and thwart any possibility of the Senate going red. The GOP has never won a government shutdown.

Spot on. This board won’t admit it, but if the GOP had control of Congress these bills would look very different. Look at what was done 2016-2018.
