Why are you comparing Trump to Biden here? Biden made some bad decisions as well, but he has nothing to do with this Spain issue.
Poster: Trump’s policy on Spain is bad.

How is that a response?

Spain's economy has lagged the rest of the West for a longtime. When they joined the EU and adopted the euro, they immediately went on a spending spree (since their cost of borrowing plummeted) and racked up substantial debts.
They have been trying to center their country as a ideal fintech and tech hub in Europe. That is very easy for the US to devastate. Tourism is also an outsized component of their economy (which is unusual for most developed countries) which is also easy to hit.
They need to learn their place, they are a runt who rides the coattails of greater nations, they dont get to dictate terms

I think Teresa doesn't understand the power dynamic at play. If Spain wants to play chicken, it's going to negatively affect every one of their partners in Europe. The rest of the EU nations are going to have get Spain to play ball before the hammer comes down on them all.

Wouldn't it be a shame if the whole EU had to pay for Spain's insolence? Maybe Teresa would be wise to get her member states in line before she gets thrown out with the bathwater
