South Carolina Cop gets Fired, Arrested, and Sued

Gotta love the little midget cop in tactical gear. They all should be lined up and shot and shot for this. Not one of them stopped the POS corporal. Seriously, what is wrong with South Carolina cops? They have the intelligence of a gummy bear. You had the one a few years ago who arrested a football player claiming he had cocaine on the hood of his car. It was dried bird shite....

Can we get a description of events so we know whether or not to bother clicking the pretty much blind link? TIA.

Link is to YT.
A package with pot in it was sent to the wrong address. Charleston (Summerville) cops stop the mistaken resident in his car has he leaves, refuse to tell him why they stopped, punch him in the face to get him out of his car, and then it explores the legality of what transpired.
Sounds like Mr. Myles just got paid today.

So, the part that you are skipping over is that the guy in the car, innocent as we assume him to be, at a minimum refused to cooperate with the cops when they were trying to arrest him?

Yeah this happens all the time.

Well, considering the package was still on his front porch and he hadn’t retrieved it, you can argue that the stop wasn’t supported by reasonable suspicion and, therefore, telling him to step out of the vehicle wasn’t a lawful order.
This dude was just living his life, had no idea there even was a package or why he was stopped, then ordered to step out of the vehicle surrounded by multiple cops heavily armed. Many people would be stunned and want to know why they were being stopped under those circumstances.
THEN, they continued to detain him after discovering that the package was still on his porch and they had no reason to stop him.
I’m usually one who argues to just get out the car and go from there on a stop but I can see how confusion would stall a law abiding citizen in this case.

It is a common tactic to send your pot to a house nearby and “steal” it before the neighbor gets home.

Are you suggesting that it's ok that this happened in the first place?

That's a 20 minute video. I am not wasting my time.

Y'all are so dumb with this "blind link" nonsense.

Doesn't matter it's a cop hate thread,
By default you must up vote or you're a POS like them.

Why not? We have to cry "Cops are heroes!" every time some cop gets shot and take turns vowing oaths to give half our money to the state in taxes each year.
