So the post quoted by the OP is just a advertisement for that app correct? That’s what it reads like
Sure what it looks like.

That is the web site for the app. The information this old app is presenting is the issue.

Submitted request.

F-35 registration number = 13-5067, just in case in the unlikely event it makes the "news".

7700 is general emergency this happens in spurts from my experience. I have never had to control a major emergency, but I have had a few ranging from indicators in the cockpit coming on and doing more of a precautionary landing to someone front wheel not opening. I once had three in a month that i controlled and none after that for over a year. I can imagine that as more aircraft go back into service you will have small things come happen until they whole fleet is flying regularly again. If an aircraft is squawking 7500 than it is time to shite.

Not sure why people are downvoting that. It’s true.

Because most people have never heard of space weather. I follow it nominally through the YouTube channel Suspicious0bservers and they periodically update the magnetic pole migration.

You can see for yourself. I am a former airline captain, I am out of the industry but I still keep tabs of what is going on. I have an app on my phone, it’s a free app that you can download yourself, it is called flightradar24. One of the really cool features of this app is you can have alerts set up so if an aircraft somewhere in the world declares an emergency, in the industry we call it squawking 7700, you can get a notification. I’ve had this app for years and usually you would see one to four emergencies pop up every month. That’s how it’s always been, aviation is pretty safe, there’s not a whole lot of emergencies worldwide on the monthly basis. But over the last couple of months I have been getting notifications sometimes up to 10 times a day. I’ve already had four this morning! Something huge and scary is going on out there and nobody is talking about it. I am seeing so many aircraft declaring

Now THAT is one outstanding sales pitch by the app creator's promo team.

Hits on curiosity, information and fear porn all at once. Still, a bit too obvious of a promotion.

Most likely they fixed a bug in the app that has caused it to have been under reporting emergencies.

“When I was a pilot, I didn’t have these problems, but when I did, I’d say to my co-pilot, ‘whoa, Cornpop, you’re just as smart as white pilots. You’re articulate and bright and clean and that’s storybook, man, storybook.’ And I’d take the reins and land that puppy right on Jeffery’s island and it’d be hair sniffin’ time, lemme tell you jack. Cause those elementary girls, they look nineteen, man, nineteen. Nineteen’s legal. That’s a fact. And that’s why shelves are bare, man. But it’s temporary. Until we bomb Moscow. I’m gonna fly that run, you lying dog-faced pony soldier. I called it! And Cornpop’s flying shotgun. Case closed! Trump did it!”
