I have disliked Trump & his ilk for most of my life, primarily because he was just a rich playboy and I dislike that whole brand of people.
But I would not want ANYONE but him as POTUS right now - because I truly believe that he is the ONLY person in America that could fight for the AMERICA is love, and not be dissuaded by the attacks by the socialist menaces of what the democrat party has become. I hate the current state and agenda and record of the current democrat party with every fiber of my being.
I detested the Biden administration - but not because it was Biden in office - it was because of what that admin did - and, more importantely, what they DID NOT DO!!
The democrat party is actively trying to destroy everything that America has loved for the past quarter century. The democrat party wants a nation ruled by elite blue-bloods with a host of needy 'useful idiots' who will do as instructed in exchange for their meager existence. THEY are the ones who want the 'brown shirts' - just look at these 'protesters' and try to differentiate them from the ACTUAL NAZI thugs of the Hitler regime.
They 'demonstrate' on demand - they change 'agenda' on demand = 'whatever the 'leader' demand - even if it means to invade places of worship - interfere with the activities of normal citizens - destroy private property of 'unbelievers', block off entire areas of the public square for their "own purpose' - overwhelm the public journalism outlets with lies and attacks on normal citizens - and even on up to public assassinations.
THIS is the mentality I detest - and I weep for the future of my great-grandsons. And I know I will not live to see how this current situation turns out. And for that I absolutely DETEST every slimy bastard who does not fully oppose the biggest evil ever to exist in America - the current makeup of the democrat party.
Someone please name ONE democrat in any position of national power who is a good person - not great - just acceptable to take on as a friend.
Fetterman is the closest I can come.

This pampered athlete is just virtue signaling. Is he sharing his home and salary/endorsements with the illegals he cares so much about? I doubt it.

The problem with this argument is if he gave a glowing endorsement of the policy direction of the current elected officials, most on here would be glazing him.
"The shut up a play" argument is strictly for whenever an athlete says something political or politically adjacent that an individual does not like. To date, I've never seen someone say, "I agree with this but he should shut up and play ball."

What is patriotic is a matter of perspective. The problem with conservatives these days is that they think they are America instead of a competing ideology within it that barely has a popular majority and tends to lose popularity whenever they come into power because they behave like they have "historic mandates" that never really existed.
