Literally one third of the general population has some form of mental illness.
One of my best friends is a shrink and she thinks we should put Prozac in the water
Well yeah, when “anxiety disorder” is a mental illness that’ll up the numbers. Plus I noticed in my nieces’ generation (they’re 30-something) seeing a professional was some badge of honor when they were in HS, and they’ve transmitted that to their kids. Nothing can just be “yeah, we’re working on that”, everything has to have a name and be catered to.

Pffff, I had these problem well before COVID.

So increase depression, substance abuse, insomnia, and anxiety during a lockdown pandemic? You don't say.

Sounds like we need to raise more taxes for relief money to me.

said COVID-19 survivors have a 44% greater risk of these issues compared to people who had the flu.
So, they're saying 1 in 4.5 people experience the same thing from the flu.

The study found people who were in the hospital or ICU were more likely to have these long-term symptoms.

That reflects the general population
Mental health is out of control
A year of lockdowns, riots, and being lied to probably had something to do with it.
