So ... about 87% of them had the issues before COVID but you’re hanging it on COVID.

COVIDs not too much killing anyone under 65 or 70 so they’ve got to fabricate other reasons for the vaccine and restrictive orders. As you say, these conditions are already prevalent in society, and they’re trying to link them to COVID. That’s my take.

Literally one third of the general population has some form of mental illness.

One of my best friends is a shrink and she thinks we should put Prozac in the water

Was it covid or the government imposed extended and excessive societal lockdowns that caused the mental health disorders, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse and insomnia?

This seems like a good way to blame mental health issues brought on by lockdowns on something other than the government.

Definitely considering all of us covid survivors. Easily 1 in 3 support masking up all the time, so it checks with their narrative.

So 13 percent never saw a mental health person before.

They all had this before, they just weren't diagnosed.

Just BTW, according to mental health experts, everyone has an issue and needs therapy.

You see how that works?

Couldn't the same study be Pre-lockdown vs. lockdown?

Nope. They had a control group of people who had flu and other similar infections. The incidence in the COVID group was much higher than in the control group. They also found the incidence was highest in those with the worst cases of COVID.

That said, this study doesn't prove cause and effect. There could be confounding factors they didn't control for. For instance, it could be that being in an ICU itself is somewhat damaging to mental health. It could be treatments for Covid are causing issues, etc. There could also be sampling bias in who they chose for the study. I didn't read the paper so I don't know, but it's hard or impossible to control for all variables.

Assuming their sampling is legit, what this study shows is it's not random chance and therefore warrants further study.
