So you think the deep state wouldn’t treat Desantis the same as they treated Trump

Simply put, Trump needs to clear a workable path for BDR. Gut the administrative state, primary faux republicans, and get the economy back on track. He can absorb the blows from the swamp and still be effective. Trump is the right man for this important work, and its BDR’s only shot to govern in the future. Throw BDR out there now and the swamp will swallow him. His talents will be wasted.

Wake up, Buttercup! They're already treating Desantis like he is the second coming of Trump.
Any Republican running against the DemRats will face this kind of treatment, although it will be a little less agressive toward Rhinos, like Pence & Cassidy.

They treated George W. Bush like he was the second coming of Hitler. And they promoted Trump and gave him massive screen time until he became a threat. Tells you everything you need to know.

Any republican nominee will be demonized by the press.

Of course they will come after DeSantis.

However, they've been coming after Desantis for the last 2 years and he's beaten them every time.

He's much, much, much better at handling the press and the deep statish types than Trump ever was or ever will be.

ANY Republican that goes against the Deep State is going to be treated like a red headed step child. R's and D's mean nothing these days, it's all about who is willing to play the "game". As I've said before, WE THE PEOPLE have ZERO representation

Who would melt about this? The media hates him

Every desantis supporter I have seen on here see him as near the same policy wise (except better on Covid) but a more articulate conveyer of the message.

I never understood this either. Everyone knows Trump’s re-election was stolen from him. Would they print less fraudulent ballots to retain power and keep DeSantis out of office?

This. He’s much smarter than Trump, when it comes to these types of issues.

That’s laughable. He mimics the way Trump handles them. Without the legislators FL currently has, we might not know who he is.

Not that I was needing one but if there were ever an official stamp of approval I needed to see for Gov D…..

I’m good with Trump or DeSantis.

I just hope the establishment and their MSM yapdogs aren’t successful in driving a wedge between the supporters of each (which they are working like hell to do).

Yep.

And Trump is too stupid not to take the bait. It'll be so easy to get him and the MAGAts distracted and focused on conspiracy theories and rigged elections - which will cause most of America to roll their eyes and yawn.

If the GOP would laser focus on education, crime, and the economy it would win damn near every election. But the MAGAts and Trump are too stupid for that.

It's like the GOP voters saw the success of Glenn Youngkin (who focused on stuff that matters to voters and was able to flip a blue state) and the GOP voters said "nah, let's nominate fake grifters like Kari Lake so we can lose easily winnable elections."

Same here. After years of having zero candidates that I like it's a pleasure to have two. So I'm not gonna join the folk here who bitch about how much better one is compared to the other.
