Hasn’t the CDC likely asked the President to stop calling it the flu?
Care to link the context of that bullshite?
In terms of medical provider and facility preparedness, COVID-19 is treated EXACTLY like the flu.
In terms of historic lethality, COVID-19 cannot touch flu.
In terms of the majority of CV infections, the symptoms are less (or significantly less) than the flu.
In terms of contagiousness, societal disease prevention, etc., flu is THE analogy.
I have heard Trump justifiably refer to CV in that context dozens of times.

Johns Hopkins published findings last October identifying the US under the CDC as the best prepared country in the world for a pandemic.

So why did the US have such an INITIAL testing failure, exactly?
Just wanted to remind you that the official that heads this wing of the CDC is . . . .
Rod Rosenstein's only sibling
Now ask yourself that same question again

we still dont have enough kits.
did you believe trump?
he lied, again.
cnn listed trump 27 lies in the last week.
trump claims there are kits for all.
authorities are universal in saying we dont have many.
our data is a lie because testing is not happening anywhere near enough.

And Trump was weirdly fixated on blaming Obama. See how this works?
So you think Trump is dumb and your response is being as dumb as him. Perfect.

I’m pretty sure I could find 27 CNN lies in the last week if I cared enough to look long enough.

If so, bodies should start stacking up over the next 20 days.

The only thing you can really point at Trump is the elimination of “pandemic response team“.
I don’t think it would have changed much though.

so... lets say we had 350 million tests. so what then? It's like a flu test, it won't cure you. They just say, yep you have the flu now go treat your symptoms with rest, fever reducer, and lots of fluids.
A test really doesn't mean much unless it directs you to some sort of cure, but the nature of a virus prevents that.

Just talked with my bro. He has a family practice. He is a bit of a lib and beat on the testing thing. Apparently, a client of his was at a conference where someone had corona and he/client had to call in all kinds of favors to get a test. Tested negative, but freaked out it took multiple days. Not sure anyone could have done better than Trump, but thinks we should have gotten our s--- together better in January.
My bro's positive spin is he thinks people have been exposed for months and the end result won't be that bad with exponential cases or whatever.
