there's two ways to answer that question.

The worst as in the consequences of their actions and inactions:
1- Wilson
2- Buchanan
3. LBJ

The worst as in the inability to do their job:
1- Andrew Johnson
2- Carter
3- Biden

Biden was pretty bad.

Buchanan was aweful.

My least favorite however was Wilson...for a specific reason.

Obama and Biden are the most disliked on this board. That is not the same as “worst”…

Neither did the kind of structural, long term damage that seems likely from the Trump Administration. NASA has been partially gutted and is in a sort of chaos. Science has been devalued.
Consumer protection is barely an afterthought, if it exists at all.
The separation of powers has been ignored, which has resulted in n abomination of the founders’ and Framers’ intent…

Yep. Sitting back and doing nothing while southern states seceded from the union will always make him the worst.

Biden, period.

He took this job knowing he was a PAWN. He got paid millions to follow instructions!

And the open borders policy pushed by the progressives is destroying the USA!
Mass deportation is mandatory if we want any chance to gain control!

I still cling to my lifelong belief that LBJ was the single worst thing to ever happen to the US presidency.

He set the stage for every foul thing that has transpired since.

Without LBJ we would be a country more in synch with out founding principles - and most of the other catastrophic POTUS' would not have happened, or would not have been allowed to be as dangerous as they were.

As for total incompetence, the Biden admin has to be the worst - but if not for LBJ, Biden would have lived his life as at best a taxi driver somewhere. Of course he was not POTUS - he only held the title - his tenure was a totally corrupt affair driven by the 'outside forces' that control the current democrat party.

I dare say that Trump is the only man who could have stood in the gate preventing the disasters set in motion by LBJ, Clinton, BHO/biden. They were all assisted by lukewarm GOPers who are masquerading as 'conservatives'.

Our nation took the wrong branch in the path when they did not elect Goldwater in '64.

None of this could have succeeded without the compliance of the 'mainstream media' = which has finally matured into nothing more than a propaganda arm of the democrat party.

Sure.

If you’re ignorant of the entirety of American history.

Bush is bottom 10, but not even close to the worst.

Agreed.

800,000 Americans dead and he didn't even try to negotiate. He ended what was a Constitutionally acknowledged right with what amounts to an executive order. He believed in strong, centralized Federal government and big subsidies for big business at the expense of less wealthy states, and he got it all, and it became permanently entrenched.

Several obvious contenders, and it's hard to argue against LBJ for one.

But damn. Biden facilitating a massive foreign invasion full of millions of third-world cretins, savages and illiterates onto our land is still about the most vile, traitorous thing any American leader has ever done to the country. He should never even have the honor of burial in American soil, his fetid remains more deservedly served up to scavenging rodents on some distant continent.
