Curious. Lot of doctors saying you shouldn't.

I can't remember the last one I got. Probably back in my teens.

I don't get one. I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything - I just have been told by friends that are medical professionals that they really don't do anything. There's a reason that Walgreens, Wal-Mart and grocery stores peddle them.

Last time I got one was 10 years ago....and I got sick a week later.

Haven't gotten a flu shot since and haven't had the flu either

Strange. I kept hearing you should get it earlier than normal this year.

And my SO and I have ours. (She's a former RN so not getting shots, etc. is NOT an option in my house)

I get one every year. Doesn't hurt anything, so why not get it if he can help prevent you against a specific strain?

I never do.

Only had the flu once in last 20 years.
Tamiflu knocked it out in 1 day.

But I wipe everything with hand sanitizer regularly...especially the kids.

I never get them. I’ve had the flu once in the past 7 years. Probably longer.

Hospitals require all of their clinical staff get flu shots. If you don’t you can be terminated.

Thats enough for me.

Retail stores need the profits earlier to purchase Christmas inventory.

yeah that's what my local news is saying. not that they don't hype it every year but I think the word is out that THIS flu will be deadly.

I roll my eyes then I hear a healthy 29 year old dies. My ENT even warned me last year.

i’ve never had one.

no reason other than i don’t like needles, so i’m not volunteering to get poked by one.

can’t explain it, but it’s really the only irrational fear (not actually a fear, just don’t like them) i have.

Anyone who thinks th flu shot is effective should google the difference between relative risk reduction and absolute risk reduction.

Did your doctor say why? I've never gotten the flu but try to get a shot each year to improve herd protection. Just because my immune system has never let it in to wreak havoc doesn't mean I can't help spread it via door handle to someone elderly or very young or someone who for one reason or another is unable to vaccinate themself.
