Especially in seemingly solid Red states. Was this simply a refute of Trump? An embrace of DSA? Feelings over policy? Terrible candidates? Republicans sick of Trump and sitting it out or crossing over? Some combination of all of these? The shock is seeing typical firewall states fall and Democrats putting up unbelievable numbers in typical Republican strongholds.

Country is in the fricking gutter and Trump and his family and cronies are just busy making as much money for themselves as possible rather than fixing it

Stock markets, jobs, salaries, and consumer spending are at or near all-time highs.

Yeah. Pretty much. He owns it. He won’t admit it but this is on him. He’s the leader of the party.

The party that cheered the murder of Charlie Kirk has nothing to offer me. But many here care only about short term finances. Takes $15 more to fill up the Tahoe so let’s turn into France.

"The DOW is over 50,000!"
Turns out nobody gives a shite about that when gas is over $4.50/gal and prices are skyrocketing while wages are staying flat. Fought like hell against student loan help, but had no problem shipping tens of billions overseas.

Overgrown children lashing out, TBH

which isn't to say they don't have some legitimate qualms, but like children, they don't really know what to do with their anger/emotions/disappointment.

So they're electing a slate of people who will further infantilize them, making everything worse

Voters are highly emotional and illogical.

They hated what has been going on the past 2 years and they reflexively vote for the opposite party, even when that opposite party is worse.

They hated high gas prices so they vote for the party that has been trying to purposefully kill the oil industry for decades.

If you're an incumbent and thing are perceived bad, you lose. You can't count on the other guys being awful to save you.

Kushner’s Middle Eastern deals, Trump stock trading and $100,000 advance access to Truth Social posts don’t sit right with me at all.
