Wait until you realize that politics is just sports with a higher feeling of importance.

The same could be said for the time we spend worrying about political things we can’t change. Heck, some posters have been making threads about polls for months.

saving Western Civilization

From globalism? That’s who is pushing the authoritarian concept.

Politicians, journalists, and teachers are the problem…but no level headed person wants to do any of that. How they’ve wrangled power from us is what’s wrong…it’s compassion and safety. We follow sports because women don’t…the compassionate ones who crave safety.

the bigger issue is that the coaches make millions and it's still not enough.

Never understood greedy people and never will, especiially with politicians.
WTF good are the clintons millions doing them now?

congrats you spent your entire life doing every single thing except living normally... and now you're pushing 80 and most people hate you.

My weekend used to revolve around watching LSU football, I turned the game off in the first quarter Sunday. I just dont care at all.

Personally, I believe the next six months will determine the course of humanity for the next century and beyond. I don’t think that is hyperbole when you step back and observe the big picture. It is so easy to get lost in the inconsequential minutia, because they want you lost in the inconsequential minutia, while the consequential decision-making is being done by the billionaire puppet-masters behind closed doors. This Fourth Turning is slated to reach its bloody denouement in or around 2032, based upon historical precedent. Of course, with nuclear arms, it could all end in the blink of an eye.

My personal observation is that the majority of men have greatly reduced their passion for sports for the reasons you state. It seems like an irrelevance when the whole culture is crumbling and your GF has terminal TDS, you can’t afford to take a vacation, the State wants to criminalize you and your daughter is transitioning. The amount of ridiculous clutter we have to deal with is insane

5 years from now I’ll be cashed out and living abroad and I will own three pair of shoes and a suitcase full of clothes. And nobody around me will want to destroy what I want to build.

As silly as you think it is...your obsession with politics is equally as silly

Unless you're having lunch with senators tomorrow it's probably a huge waste of your time also. You just don't see it. I'm not saying the topic isn't important, but you're unlikely to have any impact at all. Same goes for all of us here.

Yeah this was my first thought, should they all just post all day on this board instead? Along the same lines of believing your $100 donation to a campaign will do anything of substance

All the energy and time in the world doesn’t help if you have no clue what you’re doing.

The Roman's bread and circus is today's pizza and football.

Satisfy man's bloodlust thru proxies so he doesn't think about what's important. If man devoted as much energy to politics as sports, we'd be a better society.

Bread and circuses. American society has been systematically dumbed down and made apathetic for the past several decades but the train of distraction sped up drastically with the introduction of social media apps and reality tv shows. By design.

I stopped watching sports around the Kaepernick episode, Brees selling out, and NASCAR going woke.
Have not missed it.

There are very few things as pathetic as a grown man obsessed with sports.

And the real losers almost always are a "type," and they're low iq voters who are not very bright all around. Hence, they vote with emotions, and the result is a candidate like Kamala.

People who are joining together for sports are probably doing 10x for Western Civilization compared to what the OP is accomplishing for it.
