Scalise is the #2 guy. If McCarthy can't get the votes, everyone will fall in line with Scalise. I'm ok with that.

That would certainly be better for Louisiana.

It's going to be a Republican speaker. Scalise would be fine.

So, unless there are some shithead Republicans that will vote for a Dem speaker, this won't happen.

have you been living under a rock?

there are at least 6 democrats who call themselves rinos that will vote democrat every time unless the DNC tells them its ok to vote republican

Looks like this is the new tactic of the GOPe: outright blatant collusion with Democrat Party on a formal level.

The Republicans just did something similar in Alaska when a majority of them formed a coalition with Democrats to isolate and marginalize newly elected Republicans that refused to bow down to the GOPe and the way things had always been done.

Same thing they did to the Tea Party freshmen. They don't want anyone outside the club. Especially anyone they cannot leverage.

Yes it would. There's been 3 so far saying they would work with the DEMS to nominate a "moderate" dem. One is from Nebraska

Exactamundo. Now it's a transparent default FU to Republican constituents.

Haven't the GOP-e puppets stabbed their constituency and nation in the back enough? Now they've resorted to strong-arming "un-cooperative" party cohorts who won't bend over for the Commie loyalists?

McCarthy like Ryan, Turtle, and every other Republican House/ Senate "leader" were *always* playing Political-Trannny dress-up (R) while loyal to the Donkey agenda. (I'd like to see how Sensei and Lady Lindsey spin this crap)

NAILED AGAIN.

Given the open formal collusion and co-treason with the Donkeys and make-believe "representative" goobermint, NOW WHAT?

Actually, I prefer Scalise.

Why must the same old recycled establishment RINOs be on the leader board when it's already proven NEITHER truly work for We The People? Scalise was sent a very clear message on that softball field as to where is loyalty should lie (Hint: NOT with MAGA.)

Both will invariably steer the Republican Party into supporting every single Dem agenda while providing ZERO real opposition or direction (ITMT, count on Hannity giving these phonies cover to act like Lions.)

Would not surprise me.....GOP lacks everything necessary to be a real competitor!

All talk, smooth hairdos, tan skin, and ZERO balls.

What McCarthy is saying is, "If an establishment R can't be speaker we will give it to our Uniparty partners.

McCarthy: "Nice party majority ya got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it without my leadership."

Let them do it. We apparently haven’t screwed the pooch bad enough yet so maximum chaos may be needed.

I hope a Democrat is the speaker.

MAYBE then the establishment will figure out they suck and that they are despised.

I called this a week or so ago that if McCarthy doesn’t get it the GOPe will vote for a “moderate” democrat speaker to spite the conservative wing

If the MAGA wing won't support anyone but their own, what choice di they have? In what reality do you think the minority partner in a coalition should hold the most powerful position?

You guys really are some self entitled bitches lol.

If McCarthy knows he has no shot of winning it, I could see him whipping a faction to vote Dem as a “frick you” then claiming he had nothing to do with it.

This^^^. He’s nothing but Liz Chaney in a suit. In fact, she probably has bigger balls than McArthy.

I'm ok with it. You essentially get a Dem with a RINO anyway so at the very least they would know they can't frick around any longer.

MAGA wing needs to stand firm, if the RINOs elect a dem then make damn sure their vote is on record then primary their arse in a couple years. It all sounds good but seeing we're a banana republic now where votes don't matter its just another nail in the coffin.

MAGA will be on record refusing to support any candidate but their own. Do you think people are idiots and won't see what they're forcing to happen by not voting with their own party?

Good lord you MAGA people think you're playing 4D chess and are getting your arse kicked at checkers.

This is why we cant have nice things. Without Rinos we'd be a permanent minority party. If you think you could ever get to 218 with solid conservatives only you are living in a dream.

Stop the infighting and realize putting Rinos in these positions is a whole hell of a lot better than having dems in charge.
