Let me ask you a question:

Was the US better off in 2003 when we recognized that Radical Muslims and Radical Islam and their jihad, were dangerous mindsets and hyper-religious doctrines that should be resisted and contained?

Or, are we better off since we imported all the anti-American, radical Islam goat rapers and even installed some of them in the United States Congress?

Tell me we'd have done ^^^ THIS ^^^ in 2003. Now, tell me how we're better off having done ^^^ THIS ^^^ 20 years later?

Austrialia literally just had a mass stabbing with 6 dead and many injured at a shopping mall by a radical Islamic terrorist. Probably not the best time for this thread.

anti-Islamacist rhetoric

Seems that some of us remember the hostage crisis in the late 1970s, 9-11, terror attacks by ISIS, etc.

You started a thread whining because the Iranian boogeyman has been recycled. That’s a pretty good indication that you’re upset about it.

Why upset?

You still haven't explained anything. Like usual just making shite up

As far as we know, there hasn't been even a hint of members of Congress (and possibly the current US President) laundering money through Iran.

C'mon.

you're comparing a war (and views on that war) rooted more in geo-political defensive posturing to one rooted entirely in radical religious fundamentalism hellbent on exterminating anything they classify as "other".

It's the same power/expansion dynamic of territory they claim as their natural right as Russia and the sphere it's invaded/occupied (Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, etc.)

MAGA media doesn't have the reach.

Clearly the echo chamber outlets (media or not) do, considering this recent amplification in talking points re: supporting Israel

Again, this wasn't from the MSM/coordinated media, who are pro-Palestine.

I"m not.

I'm asking for your illogical conclusion jump that I am.

Still waiting for anything to explain this incorrect proclamation.

Bringing up a prescient talking point with conflict in real time doesn't imply or require me doing so being "upset" in any way.

Why weren't you in all the other threads discussing Iran, Islamicism, or Israel proclaiming those OPs to be upset?

My impression from my limited experience is that the American people as a whole absolutely want our military to help Israel execute revenge on the people of Gaza, because those people are complicit in what happened on 7 Oct, and those people vote for Hamas. As a whole, Americans support Israel's current Old Testament approach to war-making, which is something like "kill them all, let God sort them out".

That's my impression.

I think you’re right, but I would add another aspect that I also have the impression is a reality amongst a majority of Americans: I believe that while the nitty gritty specifics aren’t in our possession, they do believe that there is/are actual American interests at play as well, and that we’re not just supporting the Israeli rightful vengeance and efforts to nullify the ability to do it again in the future, but in the end we’re also supporting ourselves.

You may be correct, but I don't know one single person that wants the U.S. to "help" Israel attack anyone. Every single person I know that has voiced an opinion wants the U.S. to observe and be vigilant, not participate.

That may be, but, Americans as whole embrace this approach simply out of support for Israel, without following the train of thought all the way out to how it helps the USA.
