Basically, yes. Landry was an obvious front runner. Trump pads his numbers with front runners. Meanwhile where it counts, he blows.

Is the claim that his endorsement is meaningless or that he often shows poor judgement on who he endorses?

They never were meaningless, as I believe you agree. I think Trump’s viability and probability and of particular interest the “wet blanket” he throws over his haters and their rabid and indignant reactions thereto…..all while he blows them right off and struts around as confidently as a man can be - it’s pretty clear who’s in charge of whom. Hence their cycles of infuriation and bitterness and seething.

Trump endorsements are great in a deep red state for primaries. The MAGA contingent sheeps enough to knock out the rest of the field.

In a purple state however it also wipes out the independents in the general election resulting in a Democrat being elected.

Unfortunately this is a net loss for Republicans though as less seats causes issues, such as loss of Senate control, or tenuous control of the house, the inability caused by the minority group of...yeah you guessed it MAGA congressmen trying to force their will on the majority.

So meaningless? No. Helpful? Not really, he's been helping the Democrats plenty.

Jeff was going to win regardless. To say Trump had something to do with it is pretty funny.

Because of his support of Trump? Okay.

I can’t imagine believing that Trump’s endorsement didn’t have value, especially in Louisiana.

I agree…in a runoff.

Again, I can’t imagine believing that a Trump endorsement doesn’t have value.

TDS is real.

You should own yours.

Trump endorsing who had been the obvious front runner for over a year is meaningless, yes.

I was unaware of the endorsement. Trump endorsing a candidate in a state that voted Republican at 65%+ doesn’t really push the needle in my opinion.

The Ronbots love to point out Trump endorsing

Herschel Walker
Mitt Romney
John McCain
Paul Ryan
Kari Lake
David Perdue (vs Kemp)
Kevin McCarthy (for Speaker)
Mitch McConnell
Doug Mastriano
Stacey Abrams (sort of)

Why would Ronbots have a problem with Trump endorsements jbdawgs? I'd love to hear your opinion.

When did Trump endorse Landry?

From the beginning or when it was a sure bet Landry would win?

I voted for Xan but voted for Trump twice. Will vote for Trump again in 2024.
