The responses by him and his close people seem to range from “eye roll” to “don’t care,” so maybe PT can man up and not pretend to be offended at silly jokes.
Im so sick of people being offended and then making offensive statements about the "other side" for fricks sake, the if the PC culture is such a threat( and it is) those of us on the right need to lighten the frick up

I think it is funny because I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Cinemax softcore with a character like that before. Jesus folks chit can be tragic and funny at the same time. Life sucks crappy things happen and the way we move on is laugh and keep fighting. Gotta be able to laugh at ourselves.
Hollywood is full of shitty people who are attention whores. It would still be hypocritical of me to get outraged at every one of their attempts to get attention and then make fun of em for losing their chit about pronouns and bathrooms.

It would be glorious to see Crenshaw’s hand around soy boys throat releasing his grip right before he went out.

What’s funny about mocking a wounded warrior?

I’m actually interested in hearing in their own words why people around here are ok with Trump (R, New York) mocking McCain (R, Arizona) in a political campaign for being caught but not ok with Davidson making a joke on a comedy show about the fact that Dan Crenshaw (Arrrr, Texas) wears an eye patch.

Nothing is funny about it, just as it wasn't funny when Trump mocked that reporter with a physical disability. Civic discourse in this country is fricking pathetic.
Trump wasn't making fun of his disability. Trump waves his arms mocking every incompetent person he talks about.

Do all the other people he mocked in this video have the same disability?
Now, you're educated on this topic. You're welcome.

Lorne just shut it down already it’s tragic.

If I call all my friends retards, does that make it okay for me to call a special needs person a retard?

So I watched it and I have no idea who this guy is. I am jealous of that smile, man if I had that....
Anyhow, he seemed really good natured and funny and then he was riffing and it seemed like he wasn't so much mocking a wounded soldier as he was kind of acknowledging it like "is that all" type sarcasm and he just kind of miffed in a way that was possibly misinterpreted. Maybe I'm wrong and don't have the context or something.

Who would shut that down?

Okay, you can't grasp concepts. It's okay.

Was it a new low when trumpkins were mocking a POW and celebrating his terminal illness?

Shitty people do shitty things, but I'll never ask for an apology
Being a shitty person is enough punishment for them.

How so?
I'm playing Devil's advocate here. Being offended by either makes you a huge pussy, but only choosing one also makes you a hypocrite.

Toughen up. If Crenshaw gets pissed, let him handle it.
The Davidson dude went after himself too, it is a shame he had to do that to look more PC. If you dont like the SNL humor, do not watch. I havent watched an episode in 20 years.

The problem is SNL in general.
They used to just make fun of things politicians did and said, and there always seemed to be a more playful tone. These days the tone of the program is just full of hate for the right, and it's pretty obvious. This makes it really hard to watch.
They have gone so low as to simply showing the picture of Republican candidates and making fun of their physical appearance? Sheesh...
Also, this kind of shite would never fly if a comedian had simply been making fun of the appearance of someone like Stacey Abrams.
People are upset over the hypocrisy, not the actual joke itself.

His ugly arse has no room to be mocking anyone's appearance. One of the ugliest dudes I've ever seen.
He makes fun of himself at the end of the segment. "I look like I make vape juice in my bath tub; like if a Dr. Seuss character went to prison". Also, his pot shots at Governor Cuomo were pretty funny too.
In my opinion, Crenshaw is taking the right approach to this by not demanding an apology. While, not the funniest bit possible, let's be entirely honest, Crenshaw looks like a bounty hunter/assassin. 'm sure him and his buddies in the military have made similar jokes in the past. The joke didn't land (because Pete Davidson has no delivery), but it's not even a mean spirited hit. That is not a joke that should be off-limits from comedy. People demanding apologies are what have been killing comedy over the past 20 years. I'm glad Crenshaw can take a joke, I just wish SNL was better at delivering them.

I mean, SNL mocked wounded veteran Bob Dole every week for a year and people on both sides laughed. The outrage culture from both sides is exhausting
