Small Community outdoor festival in Little Rock requiring proof of vax

ALL HARVESTFEST ATTENDEES must be vaccinated or show proof of a negative Covid test within 72 hours of the festival in order to participate in any HarvestFest activities. This restriction applies to shopping with vendors or food trucks, buying a beer from the beer garden, participating in the Baggo tournament or the dog show, accessing the VIP area, or sitting the in concert venue.
Vendors, volunteers and staff will be able to submit their vaccination proof ahead of the festival. Attendees will stop by one of our Covid check-in stations and show their ID along with their vaccine card or negative test. Once verified, vendors, volunteers and attendees will receive a wristband that will grant access to the festival.
In addition, we will not be holding the gumbo cook-off or kids area this year.
This was a difficult decision, but ultimately we believe that we can hold HarvestFest safely with these restrictions. Please, get vaccinated now, do your part to end the pandemic, and come enjoy Arkans
The festival usually runs about 5 blocks and is OUTDOORS on public streets.

Since vaxxed can carry and spread it, why are they allowed? Why not just a negative test for everyone?

Not only that but the unvaxxed can walk the streets with the vaxxed so what is the point on not allowing the unvaxxed to shop and eat?

They are saying they can't block off Kavanagh legally because it's public and there are actual vendors in the stores. They are going to create their own gate, which I assume does not block the road? and then Nazi your arse at that point.

Because the mandates are only half about power/compliance. They are also to normalize fraud. I'd take a guess that less than half of the vax card images shown at Tiger Stadium last weekend were of cards that belonged to the person showing it.
Despite the random article about someone getting arrested (which probably never happened and it is entirely a made up story), there is no way to tell if someone is truly vaxxed. Might be a family members card, might be a blank they printed up and filled in themselves, could be a friend/random strangers card, could be one acquired when a trash can was vaxxed. Politicians know this. By flashing up the "fake" to watch a sports game, eat at a restaurant, whatever, you are acknowledging that a little fraud is okay. You can justify it as a stupid requirement, violation of your rights, whatever, but the point is you have committed fraud and you don't see it as as bad a thing as you did a month ago.
Then a politician lying isn't a big thing because you lie too. Then a little fraud in elections isn't a big deal. Fraud is normalized. Because everyone does it.

Fact. Have a friend I went to high school with who, like me, got the vaccine, but unlike me he still has his tickets and is going to tailgate. He refuses to show his vaccine papers to anyone, so he was allowing people to walk up and take photos of his card to get in while he stayed outside tailgating.
The entire thing is just a shite show.

That's not how this works. These mandates are about keeping the riff raff from south of I-630 out. Not Covid safety. It will be packed with uppity white people BECAUSE this is in place.
shite like this is a perfect example of the hypocritical liberal mindset. The only black folks there will be serving them their overpriced "craft beers" in booths so that they can still have that sweet, sweet "I'm diverse" feeling without actually having to interact with other locals.
Just take a look at the photo from 2019. Odd demographics in it for a city that is 40%+ black don't you think?

just got back from a two week vacation of 7 concerts. All through the midwest they had the same rules. Went to Red Rocks in woke CO and guess what...no testing or vax card required.
Also the amount of fake vax cards is LOL. 5 guys in my group had fake vax cards and they worked like a charm. I overheard a bunch of hippies discussing the "underground railroad" of vax cards to subvert the govt.
It's just laughable at this point.
