Since Global Warming is a Settled Science and all

I'm gonna need all the libs to tell me what the exact temp at 7 am on May of this year is gonna be. Should be pretty easy since we can "accurately" predict the temp 50 years from now.....

I am with you but averages are more predictable than any one day.

How about what the unchanging, perfect average temperature should be? Clearly the earth isn’t supposed to vary at all on average temp.

How about--- What is the ideal average mean temperature by which all of these predictions are based? With a follow up of --- Why is that the ideal average mean temperature and not 1 or 2 degrees hotter or colder?

There is more statistical evidence of 2020 election fraud than there is of Global Warming. A lot.

That's actually a pretty good question.... What mean temperature are we actually shooting for with all of these new regulations, and how exactly will these new taxes get us there?
TBH, I don't even think they know what "carbon neutral" means. I sure as hell dont know. You still need petroleum to create the plastic necessary for all of these solar cells and wind turbines. Need to burn fossil fuels to generate enough electricity for all the electric vehicles.

Easiest thing in the world. They’ll just say a number like 35. Then, if it’s higher they’ll just say some a-hole in the next town started his lawnmower or something and added carbon.

We are all supposed to be swimming in polar ice cap juice according to "science" ...people who go along with this nonsense deserve whatever date the dims decide to give them

If the planet was getting colder now, LIBS would be saying "burn more fossil fuels, or we will freeze to death"!
WHat a political football!

And they still can't get that right. NY was supposed to be 6' underwater right now. Cuz Muh Warmin'.

I need to know if it’s gonna rain sept 4-7. I’m headed to the beach!

It looks like what you really need a lib for is to explain to you the difference between weather & climate.

You seem like the right guy for the job... Please enlighten me... Also, please let me know why it changed from "global warming" to "climate change"....Oh, and also, please explain this article to me: 1989
Seems like we should all be underwater now...

Climate change is a more comprehensive term that global warming. Global warming implies only temperature related. People think temperature in terms of their local temperature. Climate change takes on more than temperature and it takes on a more global term.
That article didn't state we would be underwater by now. It was theorizing 2000 would be the point of no return as far as climate change. But really no one knows what is the tipping point. We could have passed it already or we could have another 25 years to address it.

Well, in 50 years it's supposed to drop .2% of what it is in May, so there's your answer.
Posted on 1/27/21 at 3:24 pm to COAUTiger
Sooooo.....you just admitted that it isn't settled science huh? Since we dont know the whole tipping point and all, or even if really exists.....But hey, lets put thousands of people out of work and spend trillions to fix it...
Posted on 1/27/21 at 3:29 pm to RoosterCogburn585
The science data backs it exists. Check with NOAA and NASA. But because we have never been in this exact situation, you can only draw from previous experiences. It is theorized that CO2 was the primary cause for most mass extinctions.
I do believe in global warming...or climate change if you prefer., but there are no easy answers. I can't see a time we are off fossil fuels. Simply won't happen. We need a better mix of energy sources.

Or a 'tipping point' does not exist. Climate changes so slowly that people have always had time to adapt.
It comes and goes in 1,000s of years. What comes in 10 or 20 years is just weather patterns.

It's global warming about 3" of snow here tonight 6 years later than Al Gore said we wouldn't see snow again.
