I'm guessing this guy will file for a speedy trial as well. He's currently sitting in jail because he's the only co-conspirator who couldn't make bail. Trump will let him sit there.

Powell is a brilliant attorney. What’s the odds she gets railroaded by doing this?

If Kraken, Cheeseburger and a couple of others have an early joint trial in October, the Trump legal team will get a preview of the prosecution's case.

That has to help the defense in a 2024 trial more than the prosecution.

Chesebro is probably pissed off right about now. If he and Powell somehow get split off from the main case, he will be tried with Powell.

I don’t know what her odds are of getting railroaded.

That said. There is a 100 percent chance that Fani is unprepared and in over her head. Even if she were prepared, it will take months to put it on. Sidney could essentially conduct discovery as her case proceeds.

Suggesting that a RICO case with 19 defendants is somehow ready for trial 60 days from now is an absolute joke.

Holy shite an attorney just blatantly disregarding the Bill of Rights.

Holy shite a Patriot proving my point in real time.

If you want a speedy trial, you have to file the proper motions (like Ms. Powell). It doesn't work like Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy.

This applies to the prosecution and defense, though.

We know what they're going to allege against Trump, et al, though. We (including the prosecutors) don't know what Trump will attempt as his defense until trial.

The prosecution has to reveal their hand well prior to trial. The defense can hold a lot back until trial.

Is it assumed that Sydney Powell's defense will largely mirror that of Trump? Either way, seeing not only the prosecution's case, but how it reacts to Powell's defense allows Trump to change his defense, so seeing what she does doesn't necessarily give them insight into what Trump's team will do.

Why are you acting like this is some sort of gotcha against Trump? Doesn’t this get old for you?

Fani is Frigged. Chesebro says, "Thank you." He and his lawyers now have the brilliant attorney Sydney Powell, though she is a defendant, to lean on.

She chews up RICO cases and spits them out. She wants to get it over with to expose what Fani Willis thinks she has.

I imagine that would be the betting favorite.

Trump's will be more expansive b/c he's involved in more of the alleged conspiracy, though.

The difference is every defendant sans Trump will end up arguing they believed they were taking lawful actions at the direction of the President. He will have no friends.

She was very good, but then went off the deep end and embarrassed herself across the country.

The question is how much of this is legit crazy, trusting bad intel sources, and how much she's overcome either of those.

Chesbiro did it first, and the da’s office said LFG.

I can’t imagine you doing it either, but it appears they took time to prepare pre-charge, and since this was likely a bluff, as you suggest, how ready is the author of the kraken?
