Precisely what Trump’s defense team doesn’t want — to speed up the proceedings.

Well THIS is a spicy meatball.

Also, finally someone files a proper motion to show Patriots why the "I thought we had a right to speedy trials" argument is stupid 90% of the time.

A speedy trial likely prohibits the Kraken b/c it will prevent time for pretrial motions

Here is what gives the game away

1) trump folks insist these cases are a joke and will be easily squashed

2) trump folks are INSISTENT that the trials take place only after primary/election

If they truly believe the cases are going to fail, why not have it before the voting, so that trump gets a total boost/gift when the jury finds him not guilty?

Cheesbro did the same thing.

This is probably a sign that Trump isn't able to provide funding for legal counsel for his co-defendants.

Don't blame her. She isn't getting a butt load of dummy money in the mail everyday.

Since this is a RICO trial and Willis had planned to try all 19 defendants together, do you think this means she would be trying Chesbro and Powell together on the speedy track?

That's a mighty dumb thing to say given a jury of dems in Fulton County, DC, or NYC.

The DA is obviously try to get cooperators from the alleged indicted and unindicted co-conspirators. Is there an advantage to getting to trial fast before people flip?

Trump told her the campaign isn't paying for her lawyers.

Just like the poor slob IT guy that recanted on the recordings.

Cheapskate Don will never change.

I mean it could be a pressure technique but she's the one applying pressure, the question is if this is to put pressure on Trump or the prosecutor. I can't imagine Trump and the people who want to drag it out are too happy about having all the dirty laundry aired early
