BS. There are literally thousands of people who have said or even done worse that are able to be "trusted with a gun". I can name 20 guys I served with who have said a lot rougher things and most of them have done worse.
So if someone has ever gotten in a bar fight they shouldn't be able to exercise their right to own a gun?

It was in response to a user who suggested that it's typical of CNN to back Cuomo because it would be typical for them to do so.
So why are there so many people outside of CNN and the left backing him as well?
