The secret service did a fantastic job tonight protecting the president. I don’t think they are getting enough credit.
I was at Mar A Lago earlier today for the Crypto Conference in the ball room and I can say this not only is getting through Security crazy enough but I’m tired of these fricking crazy nut jobs. I’m exhausted from all of this just exhausted. Thank you god that no one was injured.

How is the gunman alive? He charges the security checkpoint with a bunch of weapons and I see security immediately open fire on him. I don't even see any blood in the pics of him on the ground, he wasnt even hit? He should be swiss cheese

Most cops can only shoot just good enough to qualify with a human-sized target that isn’t moving. The did great stopping him tonight so not criticizing them at all, but that’s probably why he isn’t dead.

You think Secret Service, FBI, US Marshals, and Capitol police working these events are on the level of "most cops"?
These aren't just your average local officers, state police, or even sheriffs deputies. Secret Service protection detail is full of the most elite of the elite, mostly former Marine and special forces sharp shooters and snipers and intelligence specialists.
I've been a Marshal for a decade now and couldn't even BEGIN to sniff the qualifications to make a congressional protection detail, let alone the president or VP.
These guys train at the range and in situational practice constantly
