EDIT: If I remember correctly, one time it was in a random corn field in Nebraska and they used bird migration patterns and some other crazy %$#& from the video feed to narrow it down and then people drove around honking until others heard it on the feed and navigated them to its location. Absolutely hilarious.

Actually I think it was in Tennessee. But they figured out the general location by using the constellations at night and flight path data from planes that passed in view of the camera. Once they had the general location figured out, then they used a driver honking his horn until they could hear it on the video feed.

Right. They also utilized airplane contrails and eventually matched the times to only occurring over a small area in Tennessee. At the end, one user would call out when a plane would be flying over, he was right every time. They also analyzed the local insect and frog sounds, identified species, basically confirming SE US as the general location. Amazing stuff, I'm glad they're on our side.
