All of this. The Dems have been pro-Bolshevik since 1917, at least outside the South. This accelerated in the 1970s when they favored concession/conciliation/"Better Red than Dead" type policies. Then, after the Cold War they wanted to ignore continued Russian territorial ambitions, pushing things like the silly reset button (HRC) or the "The 1980s called, Mitt. They want their foreign policy back."

THEN, they lose an election and it's "muh Russians" 24/7 since.

How 90% of the electorate doesn't recognize these facts immediately is beyond my ken - and is the cause for my deep concern over the fate of the nation.

A good government requires a non-illiterate electorate composed of people who have a modicum of rational thought processes.

Instead, we seem to have an electorate which is moved by silly emotional appeals based on the 'grievance of the day' bumper sticker slogan generated by the prog/DEM/MSM cabal.

It is not the issue of selling uranium so much as the the issue of Clinton profiting off her position in government. Their practice of collecting money for their "foundation" and Bill collecting huge speaking fees, from people doing business with the State Dept., is seedy at a minimum, likely unethical, and possibly illegal.

it really is amazing the clockwork consistency you can time this place with how the usual suspects will fall all over themselves to buy into the latest red meat conspiracy to distract and keep the base riled up about the right’s political enemies.

Birther-gate(which gained Trump a lot of his endearing notoriety), 13 Benghazi investigations, the scandal at the non-existent Comet pizza basement, Obama tapping my phones, Seth Rich, and now we have Uranium One.

A completely non-sensical conspiracy that requires an abandonment of reason and logic that almost puts to shame what came before it.

That somehow Clinton, who there isn’t even evidence was involved in the review of this sale, was somehow engaged in a quid pro quo, primarily with a donor that left the company years before the sale, a year before she had even lost the nominee and became Secretary of State. A sale we should make note is between a Canadian company and a Russian company. That only consists of a small amount of America’s produced uranium and less than a quarter of its capacity, primarily for energy. All America had the capacity to do was deny the sale of a fraction of the business portfolio being transferred that resides in the US. Which based on all evidence would not of prevented the sale had it been denied. A transfer that could only actually be dissaproved by the president, only reviewed by numerous agencies for recommendation. Including a non-government nuclear agency and a regulatory body in the state of Utah, a Republican dominated state. A sale that isn’t actually transferring American mined uranium to Russia because of export laws. For a resource the world is awash in already. That if the right was really so enormously concerned about the national security implications, could try to step in to take legaslative or administrative action. But somehow Clinton, years before this sale was even considered, engaged in a quid pro quo knowing she would lose the nomination, get picked by Obama to be SOS, than somehow convince numerous agencies and all their staff to approve the sale for the benefit of some Canadian donors, including convincing a Republican state and non-government agency and the president. Which somehow is also evidence of collusion with Russia. Yeah, makes perfect sense.

The key seems to be taking something righties are wholly unfamiliar with like the national security review and approval process of a sale of uranium resources mined in the US, or unmasking, or how FISA courts work, or cyber hacking, or how basements work; never explain the ins and outs to the audience in an honest way, than fill the knowledge gaps with the conspiracy and innuendo you want them to believe. Let it play out and build up until the lie can no longer be sustained, than you just drop it and move onto the next manufactured scandal.

I give the shelf life of this one more month at best. Maybe it sticks around if some more Mueller indictments come out and Trump needs a handy distraction. Since once pushed, Sessions already testified yesterday that there is currently no factual basis justified to warrant a special counsel. He’s basically just playing nice with that vague innuendo for his boss to get his brownie points.

“Here, the timing is inaccurate,” Smith said, noting that the source of the majority of the donations, Frank Giustra, said he sold his stake in the uranium company before the company was sold and before Clinton became secretary of State.

Frank Guistra didn't have any stake in Uranium One when HRC was Secretary but Ian Telfer was Chairman of Uranium One during that time (2009-2013) and donated over $2M to the Clinton Foundation while she was in that seat.

Good selective journalism, Shep!

Yep exactly like that - stupid

But let me know when the "tea party" types start marching in the streets, blocking interstates, beating up opponents, shooting policemen, interrupting congressional processes, instigating riots, stopping town halls from discussing issues, trashing public gathering places, coddling thugs, inviting terrorists into the country, and acting like assholes 24/7.

I'll try to keep up with your response.

Here’s the thing, when you are out there pushing nonsense like Seth Rich, Birtherism, pizza-gate, and Uranium One, you have by default signaled out “I am a stooge who can not discern fact from non-fact, so my judgement on the validity of things is about as credible as Manafort’s antique rug purchases.”

The left has supported and befriended Russia for decades telling us that they aren't really a thread and that we should move to closer relations with them, remove our missile defense shields simply because they asked, "Reset" our relations with them, mock a Presidential candidate on the debate stage for even suggesting that Russia is our foe. And now you want to claim that Russia is the most dangerous and mortal enemy in the history of the world and that we shouldn't even accept the results of the election.

Because of all of that I will never take seriously from the left or the media any claims about Russia may or may not have done. The absolute only reason you give a damn about Russia is because you're a sore loser. That's not debatable.

So you and others have never answered this question. IF the Russians are our enemy and are horrible (see collusion), Then why would the Obama admin allow a Russian company to control 20% of our Uranium?

Stellar post

Though I think you're overly invested in a Russia collusion narrative that won't bear fruit

20% of our domestic uranium accounts for 0.6% of our yearly consumption.

Irrelevant. Either Russia is our enemy or they’re not. The simple fact is that the left did not consider Russia an enemy or a threat until they lost an election. Perhaps if the left hadn’t given Russia preferential treatment for decades prior to Trump being elected I would take the Russian collusion and interference story more seriously.

The funny thing is everyone here is pulling for an investigation into this uranium deal. If the investigation occurs, and nothing comes from it, the GOP loses a talking point. Hillary doesn't even hold public office right now.

Hillary and Uranium One is a boogeyman for the right. If you take away the boogeyman, the only thing conservatives have left to look at is the shite-tastic job their representatives are doing right now. That's my guess as to why Sessions rebuked Jordan yesterday during the hearing. He knows this.

Where is the major legislation? Where is the wall? Where is ACA repeal? The GOP needs this talking point to distract from their legislative failures.
