LOL!!

The original Never Trumper....

10 page rant by him in the article

quote:

Ben Shapiro is out today slamming Republicans for making a big stink out of the Biden DOJ-FBI raiding President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.

Ben says this is a diversion created by the left to get Republicans to focus on President Trump — NOT because it was an unprecedented move by the corrupt administrative state.

Ben believes Republicans should not focus on this lawlessness by the Biden regime. Just play along.

I turned off little benny in 2016. And I am glad to not have given him a click since.

He's still mostly right and a relative strength on (most) core conservative causes.

However, his blind spots are as big as Lizzo.

Shapiro appears to be a proponent of the republican strategy of "create no conflict and people will come to your side".

This was the strategy of McCain when he spent as much time chiding his voting base for their vocal criticism of Barrack Obama as he did running against him.

This was the strategy of Mitt Romney when he basically stopped campaigning when he had the opportunity to go on offense against Obama.

In both cases, it failed miserably.

Trump was elected because he creates conflict. He picked two subjects the GOP absolutely refuses to this day to touch: immigration and China... and built the most enthusiasm within the republican party since Reagan left office. Shapiro is a beltway creature and thinks like one. His loyalty to party ends the second it threatens that DC umbilical chord, just like 99% of that party. They may be critical of democrats, but it's all theater. Both are jackals feeding on the same corpse.

Why is it all these establishment types think that Republicans are not capable of both pointing out DOJ/FBI corruption when it comes to Trump and campaign on the issues as well? Why does it have to be one or the other with these people?

You can point it out, but at some point you have to look forward and focus on what voters care about.

Trump posted today that there should be a "new election immediately". That's just stupid and insane

This quote isn't wrong. Republicans have been awfully slow to adjust to how rapidly politics has changed forever, largely due to social media.

Part of Shapiro's issue with Trump is that he doesn't like populist, which is how he labeled him when he ran and won POTUS. Not sure if he agrees with the RHINO's or what his true views really are. I've never listened to him long enough to find out.

Shapiro's strong point is he knows the culture stuff is important. The worthless establishment is fine with the left owning it

Ben gets it right a LOT. He's tone-deaf and silly for missing this one, though. This one is obvious.
