Nope, nope and (yes). IG will only have jurisdiction over FBI and DoJ. He will have zero jurisdiction to investigate the CIA or any other agency who were also neck deep in this.

Exactely.

It's NOT by coincidence that Trump and the investigation releases have been going hard, ever since the new CIA Director, Gina Haspel, was voted into place last week.

The news and investigations will only ramp up from here on out, Trump had to and still has to get people in place to oust the dirty corrupt anti-american leftist spies.

My suspicion is Haspel was sworn to loyalty and promised protection in exchange for leading the vanguard to clean out the IC.

She's been a spook since Reagan. She knows what it's like to be in a nonpartisan CIA.

E.g., Does the IG have authority to subpoena Halper? Does he have authority to subpoena Brennan, Clapper, or Comey?

I think the FBI OIG has subpoena power that extends only to the FBI since the OIG's investigation is an internal work. To subpoena folks outside the FBI, the OIG will turn to the DOJ. The DOJ can issue such subpoenas and also start a Grand Jury. I don't think the IG can force subpoena Comey since he's now retired from the FBI.

Sessions has stated that he doesn't like the SC framework. He is going to use an alternative framework (IG & Huber) to bring down the biggest scandal ever and end the use of the SC.

If, and that's a big if, if he does this, then he's totally redeemed for his soft-arse term as AG so far.

Sessions has enough evidence to have named a Special Prosecutor here 100 times over but the Elf is slow walking the whole thing. He has to be fired soonest

Have you ever stopped to think that the reason we don’t hear from Sessions in these matters is because he’s keeping everything close to the vest? The people you want him to investigate can’t keep their mouths shut, so why would he shut them up by announcing an investigation?

When I start seeing indictments, I might buy what you are selling. But so far, NOTHING has been done to anyone, short of a few firings.

shite is hitting the fan. Sessions is about to burn the palace down and start over. Prepare for the ensuing chaos appropriately.

I think Sessions was a deep state plant from the beggining and I think he is a POS that is helping cover all of this up. His plan was always recusal so they could appoint a SC.
